I think you can extend it to home being in people and relationships. It’s through her newfound friends that Columbina realises that Teyvat is her home, not the moon, and on a wider scale the Traveler acknowledges this change in their mindset too. Home is more than just a place, it is finding a place with the people you care about. That it doesn’t matter if you are rejected by the majority, by the world, so long as you have those people you can find home in. Varka travels far from home to protect it, journeying through foreign lands and joined by his knights who are all on this expedition to keep their home safe in the face of future threat. Lauma helps the Frostmoon Scions find meaning in their home and their interpersonal connections, rather than worship to an unseen deity. Even Rerir’s story explores this— he did everything he did because he was trying to keep his home safe and stable, only for it to ultimately backfire and condemn him to be eternally unable to return home.

I guess that’s what makes Dottore being the villain fitting too. If home is the people and relationships you make, then Dottore is the opposite of those ideas. His idea of relationships is transactional while trying to squeeze out as many benefits as he can for himself. And he doesn’t even attempt to understand why people get offended by the idea. Perhaps his attempt at godhood is a shallow attempt to find a home for himself but it would never work out in the end.

exactly! I feel the pairing of Rerir and Dottore works perfectly for the Nod Krai villains as they both foil the central theme, one by inverting it and one by opposing it entirely.

Not only that but Dottore is also a parallel to Columbina, Sandrone and Wanderer which used to be outcasts who mostly only cared about themselves and had "unique" personalities that made it hard for others for to connect with others just like Zandik but ironically grew past their problems and became more human despite their inhuman natures while Zandik remained jealous and stagnant in his inhuman ways, case in point how Dottore mocked Sandrone after killing her before rapidly being proven wrong in his accussations.

They haven't released it officially on any platform yet but I've seen them called "Ascension to the Moon - Theme 1" and Ascension to the Moon - Theme 2" which is whats playing in this video iirc. Theme 2 is what you hear during the murals and Theme 1 is what you hear on the moon. Internally they're called something like"music dungeon v63"
