What are your regretful pulls/skips ?

What characters you wish you didn't pull and what character you wish instead pulled ?

For me number 1 is definetly Ayato, as much as I like him, I loved Childe a lot more as I played through the game, Ayato was my first 5\* but I always wished I got Childe instead of him, and I couldn't really get myself to pull Childe afterwards as they both fill the same role anyways. (I also got lucky ? Unlucky ? and Got c1 Ayato in 10 pulls...)

I also wish I never pulled Ayaka, I never liked her before or after I pulled her, and barely ever usesd her but it was during her eternal banner and I couldn't resist clicking the gambling button...

On the other hand I wish I pulled Kinich and Yoimiya when they came out, both are characters that I love but unfortunately I skipped them and later on I was focused on other new characters to pull them on reruns.

The only character I genuinely regret pulling for is Ganyu, I really dislike her on-field playstyle and ended up benching her almost immediately after pulling her.

There are few other characters I wouldn't pull for when looking back retrospectively (Ayaka and Kokomi) but I can't say I regret pulling those two.

I don't think i regret skipping any characters...

I regret not pulling C2 Lauma for DPS Columbina. I had no idea Columbina would be a Charge Attack Lunar Bloom DPS and I have no plans to pull Nefer.

I don't regret pulling anyone. All my characters have top builds, do damage, and I know how to use them.

I wish I would have pulled Albedo on the last Mondstadt Chronicle Wish 😞 I convinced myself back then that it would be a waste, and now with the new Hexerei buffs I am filled with regret that I don't have him and can't select him on the free constellation event.

Otherwise, the limited characters I have are Venti, Tartaglia, Zhongli, Kazuha, Kokomi, Yae Miko, Nahida, Alhaitham, Wanderer, Wriothesley, Furina, Xianyun, Emilie, Kinich, Xilonen, Mavuika, Citlali, Ineffa, Durin, and Columbina. Don't regret any of them. For a little while, I regretted having Wriothesley, but nowadays I am so glad I have him built. I'm trying to level Ineffa currently and he's a godsend against her stupid Natlan boss.

When I got Childe, it was me doing a 10-pull for lulz at 0 pity on the Liyue CW. He was a surprise accident that would definitely be classified as a regret if he had come at 80 pity instead lol. The most fun I have with him is tormenting the hilichurls that run around with torches 🤣

Its mostly personal preference. I'm not the biggest fan of charged attacks. The chancels feel also kind of wierd.

I didn't really like her that much to begin with her motorcycle was too corny. I got her to pair with Navia to free up furina and because I dont wanna build xiangling but now I have durin so shes now just rotting on the bench forever

Oh wow. I agree about the motorcycle. I'm shocked that she isn't of use, I use her but I don't have Durin.. She does a lot of damage and great for travel in the overworld too which is a perk :) but that can be said for many other characters as well. Do you plan on utilizing her for any new teams you are creating?

I use her sometimes for fun (mostly as a sub dps on gt) but I dont feel like building her for on fielding when I have so many other characters I'm building. Durin kicked her out of basically every team i used her in except for the rare occasion I use mualani over neuvi

It depends on the team. As a sub dps/ support he is usually better (except for hydro/cryo teams), but as a main dps mavuika is better.

I pulled Nilou because her design is so pretty and dendro/hydro teams were the meta back then, but once I started to build her I realized I didn’t particularly like her play style. She’s now collecting dust and never gets used.

Neuvillette and I don't even use him at all. I always choose Barbara or Yelan if I need hydro but then I have Furina most of the time. Nefer also due to impulse lmao. I want to create NK hyperbloom team but I realized she changes bloom cores, should've been Lauma instead.

Probably only Kokomi - I pulled for her on rerun for a certain team I was thinking about but as of now I can't even remember which team it was honestly, and I didn't really used her much as far as I remember.

Cyno. No one else. I used him just a few times but never really clicked with his gamestyle. I liked every other character I pulled for and played them a lot. I only pull for male characters and all I own I also used as my mains for a period of time.

Im not talking about meta perspective. None of the character I regret pulling/skipping is any bit related to how strong they are.

It's mostly about pulling characters with a hype and not liking them once you actually get to play them or once you pulled cause you couldn't resist spending your wishes even though you didn't like the character, or pulled by accident (pity building, trying to get 4\* etc).

I regret not getting Childe and Yoimiya, neither of them are meta (specially Yoimiya who never was) I just like their gameplay and personalities. And I regret getting Ayato and Ayaka. Ayato because at thatm moment I wasn't aware of Childe much so if I knew about him and how similar they were, I would wait for him. And Ayaka causes I couldn't be patient and kept pulling during her eternal banner and unfortunately got her. Im not regretting them cause they got powercrept.

Honestly, Ganyu is my regret. When I pulled her, she was good and helped me a lot although I don't really fit with her play style, but a short time afterwards I got characters that I felt more comfortable playing with and she got benched. I still leveled her up and her talents, she did a lot for my newbie acc :d

I really wish I had got Varesa

I play her on another account I help maintain and she's so fun- exploration characters are my favourite

First time Varesa ran I was saving for several things and couldn't risk pulling (Chasca con, Mav sig & Citlali)

Her rerun I was saving for Columbina, Ineffa & a weapon.

I only like pulling on weapons when I want both limited 5*. I wanted varesa more than ineffa and I really needed the 4 stars from the varesa banner too, but it made more sense to hold off

With the way my pulls went, I could have got varesa and still had enough for the current banners, but there was no way to know.

Mavuika. I was really excited about Natlan, but I was disappointed during AQ. She used to be the most interesting character to me cause of trailers and hints (I still love her character trailer). Then the final of AQ in Natlan just ruined everything for me haha. I got her and her signature weapon, then I left the game. I returned for Nod Krai and Varka.

I leveled Mavuika up to level 70, but I never used her. I use her weapon for characters that need claymores. That's all.

I don't regret getting any of the characters I got. Between my 2 accounts+my siblings' rosters, I can have a photo shoot with almost any character I want, and that is most important thing for me~

But I do regret getting some constellations lol.

I did not need Ganyu's C1. She was strong as she was, but I kept wishing anyway. Oh well, it was half-pity so it was okay I guess.

Raiden was pretty much benched when I wished for her C1. I don't use her, so why did I get it? I dunno. (Her C2 was 2 pity so I can't regret that~)

I wish I didn't pull for Tighnari during his release banner, since I got his C4 from standard and losing 50/50s later on. 😂 (If it was a Diluc banner though, I'd have thrown all my primogems at him and have 0 regrets~)

And then I realized that Lauma's C1 can heal, like that changes so much and frees up my sustain slot for someone else.

In 3 years of playing my only regret is getting Nefer. Just don't like her playstyle. That being said, multiple times since I got her she's bailed me out in endgame modes, so that regret is fading.

I wish I hadn’t skipped Mavuika because it would have made some events (looking at you, “realm of tempered valor”) or some abyss/stygian cycles easier. I quite like her but every time her banner comes I’m saving for someone else

Yoimiya. Had better performance with my Yanfei and then the Pyro DPS role got stronger and stronger, it's hopeless for her.
I might just try to go full EM and try her in an overload team with Chevy Ineffa and maybe Durin.

Chiori 😭 I love her. Pulled her because I’m trying to collect all the geo characters (only gonna be missing Xilonen, Zibai and maybe Illuga) and also I have her sig weapon.

I honestly should’ve not pulled and kept her sig on Alhaitham. I regret pulling for his sig weapon too since he was genuinely doing more damage with chioris sig

For an off field dps, her turrets don't last very long and she needs quite a lot of field time for an off fielder.
