I want your opinion on this one :D
I'm a casual in terms of lore but i'm pretty sure there's so many wrongs in this one take on the lore for example the Sumeru one where the last act is mistranslated that's why we didn't get the same title in the Dain's trailer.

Columbina is definitely rewritten.
Childe and Scara perhaps? Her singing without a care about the world on her friend grave, specifically Signora's theme?
Xbalanque Hoyo's favourite child meta until Genshin 2?
1. No actual source. The post there didn't to seem to have one. I assume it's from a leaker, in which case it's a question of how reliable they are.
2. Assuming totally true, still doesn't mean that's 1:1 how Columbina was written through out the story before. As far as I know, This supposed to give vas general idea on how to voice a character, but all of this point don't have to EXACTLY be in the game, they wanna see how VA gonna voice it, not that it'll 100% the same personality. We even had stuff like Rey Chase who rerecorded his neuvillette lines cuz what he imagined was not totally accurate to the character in the game that he saw later.
Point being, these are not literal examples of some rewrite, just general idea of a character for VA to be able to voice
As for scara and tartaglia voice lines, I wouldn't really say that they don't match, just that they're vague and scara, as always, being super aggressive to other harbingers (I mean, he tried to make even Cap sound bad). Heck, it doesn't even make sense for Arle cuz by her release, NK was already being worked on and written according to the devs
Happened with Lava ravaged war torn land with corpses as far as the eye can see Natlan into Pokemon and Graffiti land and is happening now with Nod Krai and Columbina to the point of them saying that they are both "last minute", regardless of devs openly saying it takes them at least 2 years to complete major patches, and 6 months for minor ones
Columbina was quite possibly teased since early fontaine, specifically Neuvilette's demo with the three thrones(three moon sisters) and a dove coincidentally passing around it(Columbina been represented by one).
And it makes sense he has noticed her ascension thanks to the skin quest talking about how "world is changing and we might witness it changing once more"
Add to that "leaked" concepts like "voice direction" or how Columbina was *somehow* supposed to be in Natlan and fond of fighting even tho no other playable harbinger wants to get close to her, not even the battle maniac one
And you basically have it
We had a handful of biased-observations of Columbina, but we never even HAD an established character for Columbina. All we know already she was absent-minded and kind of a weirdo.
If not, what is even the point of having voice-lines about other characters, if it tells us jackshit about them and feed us wrong and biased information?
The Luna versions are definitely not planned, why would you separate 5.0 and 6.0? At the same time, many character associated with Columbina, mainly Alercchino and Sandrone also receives shift in writing tones as well. In Alercchino's case, her voiceline about Sandrone is conflicting with what we are presented in the Luna versions. The voiceline proclaimed that Arlecchino does not know much about Sandrone at all. Yet, they are friends, and do tea parties, and this is happening when Signora is still alive, meaning BEFORE Monstadt, BEFORE meeting her.
And we don't even know what Sandrone even does in the Fatui other than having tea parties apparently.
Damn people really just make their own headcanon and run with it. There is not a single line that say she doesn't know what Sandrone does, here is the full transcript of her voiceline
> I have little interest in her. She is extremely... passionate about her research and does not appear in public often. In fact, many of our officers have yet to see her at all. Compared to, let's say, someone who would go so far as to create segments of themselves to better wander across the land, I suppose you could say she is at the other end of the extreme.
Maybe you don't, but not everyone is the same as you. Personally I don't care about my friend personal life, what they show to me is what I care about.
> Also, I said WE don't know what Sandrone does, not Alercchino.
My guy you write this
> In Alercchino's case, her voiceline about Sandrone is conflicting with what we are presented in the Luna versions. The voiceline proclaimed that Arlecchino does not know much about Sandrone at all.
Whether it's this or the Leylines thing, though, Dain's cryptic "it's because she has her reasons" still kinda falls flat. She doesn't seem to have any "reasons" deeper than that she wants the Traveler's help.
Bakufu(幕府) in Japanese is "Shogunate" and here just means the Inazuma Shogunate(Inazuma Bakufu/稲妻幕府 in Japanese version). This is just a minor change in English translation, not a lost plot point.
Like, just because, they are still able to write an okay story, doesnt mean they haven't changed their intentions or rewritten it. That's a fairly normal thing in creative media I believe. But it does feel really awful for the audience when the things they were promised/hinted at, never come to fruition.
The sumeru AC title (whether it is a mistranslation or a retcon) really doesn't matter. Literally nothing would change whether we got that name or the current one.
Some of the harbingers were definitely rewritten tho (arle, columbina). Idk about Capitano - I personally didnt find any contradictions (though I was fairly disapointed). Dottore's burning of the tree is a bit weird. The anti-recton gang took the "its just symbolism" interpretation and is running around with, which I would find really lame if that's the case. It'll depend on what happens next in the AC, cuz i really don't believe that's the end of Dottore, but the AC really felt conclusive if not for how Dottore turned out.
Also why does rewriting a story have anything to do either with the “Writers forgot” trope?
the act's name might have changed but that doesn't mean the story arc itself was scarpped, i have no clue what they mean by the fontaine statement.
fontaine definitely had some rewrites but the whole "hydro archon lives for the spectale of the courtroom but even she knows not to make a enemy of the divine" thing remains true, the hydro archon basially lived as the oratrice mechanique d'analyse cardinale just passing judgement and collected energy to kill herself and knew she couldn't attract the gaze of celestia.
the natlan one is partially true, there was kinda some secrets but i don't think there was anything the traveler specifically was told, capitano defintiely did his part in natlan's story though.
dottore burning irminsul is a plotline that has yet to be seen and was part of the suemru teaser so i think is fair to bring up(i have seen people say this was a future plotline but we've seen nothing of it so far).
i guess like 1.5/5 claims were right?
The spaceship. In the opening scene the twins tried to leave Teyvat, where was the spaceship?
It's kinda like how Venti in the genshin webcomic called the pyro archon a female (Lady of Fire) in the english language when the chinese was gender neutral (God of fire).
I find it really weird how some people ignore the fact that most things are rewriten several if not dozens of before getting a green light, tons of concepts and ideas change during development and keeping the original idea is not always the best depending on how things develop in the future, just look at the ending of how i met your mother
