Returning Player - So overwhelmed!
So I couldn't stay away. Please help me get back into it.
I left after the draw distance on mobile plummeted right before Fontaine. The lore has exploded. The new characters are gorgeously designed. And I "accidentally" pulled Columbina and Xilonen previously so I'm thinking I won't be immediately power crept out of the new content.
Any advice or discussion on how a new or returning player can catch up would be appreciated but I have a few specific questions:
\-I know Fontaine has some quests you must do in a specific order but after that can I blast through the content to get to Nod Krai?
\-I have most 5 stars from before Fontaine with the exception of Ganyu, Albedo and Tighnari. My strongest built characters are Kokomi, Nahida, Fischl, Yelan and the first 4 Archons. I know Columbiana and Xilonen work best with newer units but I will not be getting them. Who should I build and focus on?
\-Yall are getting free constellations?! Where's that at?!
\-Any other tips that would help me get through 3 new regions and new features effectively and efficiently. The artifact overall is really overwhelming.

Now...wooh so many questions
1- Definitely do the Fontaine **Narzissenkreuz Ordo** World Quest series it is VERY important to the lore, of course if u care about the lore that is.... if u are in a hurry tho and don't wanna read then spam through it but DO watch Minslief's recap on that on Ytube, again it's extremely important especially now in Nod-Krai.
Another important World quest is **Questioning Melusine and Answering Machine** do that as well these two will have major mentions in the latest region.
2- Natlan World Quest Series Involving the **Little Guy** is mega max important it's a big one but probably the best World quest series in the game so enjoy it take ur time, it'll take U all over Natlan to some cool hidden places as well.
3- U have Columbina good but she is kinda useless without any Nod-krai 5\* characters ( I am sorry but it is what it is 🙏 ), in the endgame especially, so If u can grind ur way to getting Ineffa the other character on the banner do so or get Lauma when she returns. Bina and Ineffa make up the strongest Duo in the game the community has even named this broken OP duo "Bineffa"🤣
4-Mondstad characters have received some great buffs like Venti, Albedo, Mona, Fischl, Razor, Klee and Sucrose so build them if u have them...See Ytube guide I can't type that much sorry😭
5-Yeah we get free cons. now for SOME old characters and standard characters for free just by doing dailies and basically playing the game.
6- I would say do not rush to the new content, for a new player and a returning player the content can be way too overwhelming so take ur time play through all the Archon quests definitely to get a grip on the plot and do those World Quests I mentioned.
My opinion- Honestly the new region has been peak so far best region story wise the MC talks a lot and the plot and lore is moving to some incredible places the hype is real the community is having a blast theorizing how the story is gonna go now so it's a lot of fun. So take ur time enjoy the game endgame can be ruthless because of it being a gacha but the rest of it is just pure unadulterated ART.
I know it's pain to not have characters considering how meta shifted. Get columbina and ineffa (if u can. But difficult since only 7days left). When I came in 6.0 I tried lauma but lost 5050. Then got nefer. Then got durin in 6.2. then got columbina and ineffa in 6.3. I mean with enuf grind u can do it. I struggled to get 6acts in imaginarium theater but now recently I cleared 12 with full stars. So yea. Just because patient and enjoy while playing. Nod krai quests are small and don't take much time in exploration. There are good qol from back then to now. So yea. That's all I can say. Try to get ineffa now and flins (rumoured to be in 6.4). They are pretty broken
But I'm currently doing one pulls on Ineffas banner hoping for one more miracle lol
2. Those characters you listed are all still good. Zhongli and Raiden are... not great right now though. And Venti is a DPS/SubDPS now.
3. You have to login 5 days a week for 8 weeks. It's a commitment for sure, but if you're doing it anyway it's a free Con I guess.
4. Archon quests get a lot longer starting in Nod-Krai. You have to start treating them like 4 hour appointments. It's a far cry from 40 minute quests in old Genshin.
ALSO, play Skirk's story quest prior to Nod-Krai. It introduces an important story element.
And do a quick watch of the "Simulanka" summer event on YouTube prior to playing Paralogism in Mondstadt. It's 3 hours long. You can skip most of it, but watch the end cutscenes at least.
