I feel you bro or the weapon crafting shits like WHY ARE THEY BOSS SPECIFIC TOO THAT JUST MAKES IT EVEN WORSE CMON
P1NKNESS2026-01-27 02:05
I just want to lvl up my columbina 😭 why is it that gated? At least guarantee one idk
Pszczoolka2026-01-27 02:16
LITERALLY.. Even just one a MONTH AT LEAST atp I'll take anything 💔💔💔
issm2026-01-27 02:08
You can convert billets of the same weapon type to other region types.
It does cost solvents though.
Pszczoolka2026-01-27 02:15
Yeah! Sorry I should've specified </3 That's what I meant- Solvents are used everywhere and you get them at random while boss drops/billets are boss specific and also there's different kinds WHY HOYO WHYYY
ImNotTiredOfWinning2026-01-27 01:59
Not to brag, but I have over 300 dream solvents. I don't think this system will ever change.
Puzzlehead_Lemon2026-01-27 02:07
Yeah, you have way too few early on, then after a while you have far more than you'll ever use. Kinda a dumb system with that.
Ikses2026-01-27 02:13
\^that
its only so punishing for beginners, after some point you will don't know where to use them and bcz there far less new players, this will never be addressed as real issue.
you just have to be patient
Pszczoolka2026-01-27 02:22
I've been playing since 1.4 or so and personally have 1 atm? I dunno maybe I'm upgrading too many characters? Took too many breaks? Didn't beat a weekly every single time I could? Whichever the answer is it's still ridiculous
blippyblip2026-01-27 02:58
Usually the people I see who are Solvent broke fall into the camp of:
> I'm building a character who uses Boss Mat A, so I'll just convert all my Boss Mats B and C into Boss Mat A for them!
>
Cool, they're done!
>
Now, time for me to start building my next character who uses Boss Mat B by converting all of my Boss Mats A and C into Bs, and then after that I'll do the same for this character who uses Boss Mat C...
You wind up burning a ton of Dream Solvents for basically zero reason, because after all that time you could have just built up all three characters in tandem without converting more than a handful of times.
Mitsun2026-01-27 04:38
Or in the case of the person you're replying to, sounds like they took breaks and didn't play the game, which... well, if someone doesn't play the game then obviously they're not going to... get... anything from the game...
To add in case people take this the wrong way - it's perfectly fine to take breaks! but also hopefully people understand that not playing means you're also not collecting whatever the game gives, so it's quite normal to run out. You can't not play a game and then say it's 'ridiculous' you don't have anything.
Pszczoolka2026-01-27 05:12
When I say I've taken breaks, I don't mean long-term quitting. I mean occasional stuff like being on holiday or missing a weekly here and there. That means missing some drops, and that's fine of course! My issue isn't with grinding or time investment.
Sorry, I should've probably worded my initial comment better, some of what I said, for example"(I) Didn't beat a weekly every single time I could?" was meant rhetorically/ironically. What I was trying to get at was that even IF I didn't take any breaks, if I killed every weekly every single time, I could still end up with zero dream solvents. (So that dream solvents are entirely RNG based.)
What I find frustrating is that dream solvents are entirely RNG based. Two players with very similar playtime can end up with wildly different amounts (one with hundreds, another with almost none), EVEN IF neither of them takes extended breaks.
For an item that's specifically meant to mitigate bad RNG when upgrading characters, having its availability also be pure RNG feels so ironic...
Pszczoolka2026-01-27 05:01
I personally don't burn dream solvents converting mats back and forth at all because I agree that that's a waste. I only use dream solvents if, as they were designed for, I have weeks of extremely horrible RNG with a specific boss. Most of my recent solvent usage has actually been on billets, because until fairly recently I basically never crafted weapons, I mostly relied on wish weapons. Now that I'm trying to R5 a craftable for Ineffa, it's the first time solvents have really become a bottleneck for me.
Even though it doesn't apply to me, it's definitely something a lot of people should consider! It doesn't erase how bad the design for dream solvents is, though.

i have a lack of solvents because wasting resin on world bosses is bad investment after you have talents levelled for your charas. I clear dire stygian as f2p and that needs proper arti farming.
I assume people who have 100's of solvents have top 20% ranking in akasha unless they resin refresh
Cormacolinde2026-01-27 02:29
Yeah I have like 250, and barely doing boss fights these days.
Arc-D2026-01-27 02:51
show akasha
ImNotTiredOfWinning2026-01-27 03:16
Not sure that would show my Dream Solvent count, but I'm a Day 1 player that farmed Trounces. btw, just double checked and I have 361, and that's after burning like 6 for Columbina the past two weeks. by doing trounces for over 5 years; this isn't really that absurd of a count. I bet there are people with like 800. I reached a point where I now only do the last 5 TDs, before I used to do them all.
Arc-D2026-01-27 14:05
I wanna see ur arti quality with that many solvents
Arc-D2026-01-27 21:54
i just saw your post history and as i said, your artifact quality suffers because you waste resin on weeklies. You have no reason to be stuck on menacing with so many 5* cons
Sad-Bowl-83742026-01-27 02:01
Oof

Ravemst2026-01-27 03:13
Want to hear something funny. Today I got a dream solvent from every weekly boss I fought and that has never happened before. RNG sure is something isn't it.
