How often does it actually take you 90 wishes to get a 5 Star
Title, so far, it has literally taken me 90 pulls each time to get a 5 star. So I want to ask you, in your experience, does every 5 star take 90, or have you gotten any 5 stars faster?

in my experince most five stars come after \~78 pulls, at the latest 86 pulls. This is probably due to after passing soft pity (75 wishes) the chances of pulling a 5 star increase significantly after every pull.
Getting a five star at 90 pulls (hard pity) is extremely rare, allegedly the chances of getting a 5 star at 90 pity is around 1 in 13 million.

My very first pull on Genshin, very first one, was Mona. I’ve had a few time where the very next few pulls resulted in a 5* after the last 5*. It’s basic statistics that you won’t always hit 90 but it also depends on the sample size, so someone who is F2P and rolls less often will probably not see this happen as frequently.

I have never, in my 5 years of playing, gotten a 5 star in exactly 90 pulls, I think it's pretty rare. For me it's usually 77 or 79 pulls, and had to go to 81 a few times.
No-Assignment24072026-01-27 02:23
The most amount of wishes it has ever taken me to get a 5* is 83. I had gotten Alhaitham on his debut banner around 61 pity and decided to go for Xiao, just to lose to 83 pity Qiqi. It took 81 to get Columbina this patch, so she probably comes in at the second most expensive.
The least amount of wishes? 1 single wish to get Albedo on the first Mond chronicled wish, and 1 wish to get Eula immediately after him. Still mourning that I didn't decide to go for Klee with that kind of luck

I will say, I generally have pretty excellent luck. I win about 3/4's of my 50/50's and regularly hit 5*s around the 65-75 wish range. My most recent "good luck" was Ineffa this patch, she came home at 16 pity and was not guaranteed

Pretty sure it's only been documented a handful of times. Pretty much all 5* will come before roll 85.

The chance to receive 5★ on exactly the 90th wish is about 1 in 13 million

i don't believe you "literally taken me 90 pulls each time to get a 5 star". getting to 90 pulls to get a 5star is extremely rare that even some people in CN made notes on how many people actually did managed to get that. maybe you should count again, probably yours is around 80-85 or something?
as for me, i've had my wish tracked in paimon moe since 2.5 and i can see my highest is 82 but i average at 78.

It's likely OP is thinking "It took me 9 sets of 10 pulls to get a 5 star, therefore it took me 90 pulls" without them realizing that *WHERE* they got the 5-star within the last set of 10 actually matters because it starts the pity for the *next* 5-star.
In fact, if you take this definition into consideration, the number of smoothbrained, "durr, I *know* I've hit 90 pity multiple times, but I'm not gonna check or provide any sort of proof because I don't have to prove anything to you" makes a lot more sense.
DontThrowAwayPies2026-01-27 03:19
I have almost always pulled one by one except two ten pulls lol. The 5 stars have been single pulls
AltruisticBar23222026-01-27 05:39
Then can you go to [paimon.moe](http://paimon.moe) and upload your pulls? Or perhaps record yourself going through your wish history? To put into perspective just how rare a 5-star at 90 pity is, that website says that out of 6 *million* 5-stars pulled on the standard banner, only a few *hundred* were at 90 pity. Not to say you're definitely lying or mistaken, but the chance of all of your pulls being at 90 pity is extremely low.
blippyblip2026-01-27 07:58
The chance that OP has hit 90 pity not just one time, but *multiple* borders on some Dream-speedrun-level 'luck'.
Then_Following_64252026-01-27 15:49
Considering that the chance is 1/13.7 MILLION, yea that shit didn't happen. And if it did, OP should positively just delete the game since it clearly doesn't want them
Embarrassed-Fly61642026-01-27 02:36
It only happened to me once, i play since 1.0
irllyshouldsleep2026-01-27 02:36
I've gotten more than 80 before iirc but never 90.
refance2026-01-27 02:37
Upload your data in Paimon.moe or Star.db in average people take 73 pulls to get a 5★
ZenTen_2026-01-27 03:07
Mine is 82 so far i personally hate it my all friends get early
lezbehonest7872026-01-27 03:08
I’m not sure it’s ever taken me 90 exactly, but wishing on Columbina and Ineffa most recently, it was 86 Columbina and 83 Ineffa. 😒 I have had characters come early before but it’s rare.
Karuro2026-01-27 03:39
85 is highest I've got, and it was a capturing radiance too.
Late 70s looks like my average.
bpmackow2026-01-27 03:45
I've never gone over 86, heck, I've hit single digits a couple times.
Then_Following_64252026-01-27 04:22
If it's taken you 90 full pulls each time to get a 5 star you might as well delete the game because the chance of going getting a 5 star on a full, hard pity is 1/13.7 million.
chsitil2026-01-27 06:16
it is always a loss and than a win. each time i have to spend more than 70 pulls.
lostn2026-01-27 14:26
i think you miscounted. It is not possible. It happening once is a 1 in 14 million chance. For you to do it consistently is not just not possible. I don't believe you hit 90 even once.
Neospanner2026-01-27 19:48
Only a handful of players have made it all the way to 90 since the game began. [It took a year and a half to find the first person who managed to provably pull it off.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/q8im3o/the_first_person_that_reached_90_pity_on_the_cn/) They actually won a sizable cash prize for it.
I don't think any player ever has had it happen to them twice, let alone more than that. Twice in a row? I think I crunched the numbers, and it would take centuries before it would happen even once with fifteen million players pulling a 5-star every day.
The odds are just that low of making it to 90.
The history of your pulls are recorded in game for the past twelve months. If you can find EVEN ONE case where there's a full 90 pulls between two 5-stars, people here will be amazed and impressed.
