Looking for meta team-building advice + reaction variety (Cryo + Hyperbloom/Lunar Bloom)
Hi guys, pretty much what the title says. I’m looking for some help coming up with **more variety in the teams I’m running**, especially reaction-wise.
Right now I mostly play:
* **Hydro/Electro**
* **Hydro/Electro/Dendro** (Hyperbloom-adjacent setups)
That’s been fun and strong, but it’s starting to feel a little samey.
# What I’m hoping for
* At least **one viable Cryo team** (Freeze or otherwise)
* At least **one strong Hyperbloom / Lunar Bloom team**
* Ideas for **other reaction teams** I might be sleeping on
* Advice on **which characters in my roster are worth further investment**
I’ve attached my current roster above. My core, well-built characters include:
* Hydro: Furina, Yelan, Kokomi, Xingqiu
* Electro: Raiden, Kuki
* Dendro: Nahida
* Anemo: Kazuha, Sucrose
* Cryo: Ayaka (but I’m not sure I’m using her optimally)
I *do* plan to pull for **Lauma** and **Nefer** when they rerun, but I’d love to make the most of what I already have in the meantime.
# Questions
* What would you recommend as a **solid Cryo team** with this roster?
* What’s the **best Hyperbloom/Lunar Bloom core** I can build right now?
* Are there any **underrated characters here** that are actually worth building for meta or flexibility?
* Any team ideas that would help me branch out beyond Hydro/Electro spam?
Appreciate any help 🙏 Happy to answer any questions regarding specific character specs/weapons. I’m not chasing speedrun clears, just **strong, flexible teams that feel different to play**.

Furina Xingqiu Xianyun with no plunge also works very good
You can grab Escoffier to make your Ayaka team pop as well
Lunar bloom: lauma
Melt: Citlali + mavuika (hutao is fine here)
Mona: aim for c4 from free cons/yearly 5* selector
Nahida + Kuki/Raiden + hydro + flex can make a good hyperbloom at 3.0 standard, but also outdated in current meta. You don't have any lunar bloom option until you pull Nefer + Lauma. Lauma + Columbina without Nefer needs cons to be stay in meta.
You have Xianyun, so at least Xianyun + Furina can make some vape plunge team.
In the meantime - have fun! Ayaka/Xianyun/Furina/Flex plunge freeze team, let's gooo. Yelan, Mona, Rosaria, and more all possible in that last slot.
**Lunar/Bloom:** Here there is a bit of a split, where you can go "hard" hyperbloom where all your damage is coming from the hyperbloom reaction, or "hybrid" where there are hyperblooms but other stuff is doing a lot to. You have Columbina & Ineffa - you should go hybrid, they are the best "wheelchair" in the game and enable dozens of other unit pairs. Bring nahida and Yelan, try to get good EM rolls on your Ineffa so she triggers blooms that do decent damage, and just soup the enemy with lunar reactions. Other hydro, dendro, or even electro units like Raiden/Kuki can all work.
**Other characters:** So you aren't at the level where you are going ot have 3 stellar, meta teams - you can have a great Lunar Team, and your others will be only okay. From that lens, flexible units who can make "good" teams are valuable to you - you are sleeping on your Xianyun. She can syngerize with Furina to make a plunge carry team that put virtually any "infusion" character on field and dish out damage. Hu Tao in particular comes to mind here - you want more diverse teams, you have a fully built Hu Tao, and one of her best teams is furina/xianyun. She has fallen off, she is not Mavuika. But she will be fun and do decently for now, and give you experience with vape teams - a core archetype you dont have experience with it seems.
Mona is also an extremely solid support unit with the new Hex buffs, particularly as she gets constellations like her c4. You can buy a fischl in the shop with glitter, and will get one eventually for sure given how common she is - pair them together and they can pull a lot of weight on a bunch of teams. Sucrose is also Hex, and can work the same.
Hopefully this is useful advice! Feel free to ask any follow ups you may have.
People have been clearing abyss/fearless with [Ayaka Escof teams](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhL04BIGC9o)
Though, to be clear, "some people can clear abyss with team X" is not great help to a new player who isn't going to have nearly their skill or investment. If OP wants to challenge themseves in Fearless with Ayaka, sure. But if they want a team that does as well as their Columbina/Ineffa pair and doesn't feel rough to play? They need both.
"if you dont have either of those" implies that they need both of those, but they already have Ayaka and can manage with Escoffier while Skirk would be a redundant pull for a DPS increase they don't need.
