Have been thinking to return to genshin after long pause
So i have been thinking about returning to genshin after stopping playing at the conclusion of Fontaine arc, but feel like i already missed too much of the events, be it lore or rewards.
Is it worth returning now or better to just wait for all main story to conclude and play it in one sitting, is there any way to experience past events? Or at least some channel there i can view full walkthrough of them.
Can i progress through the main story with old characters?

Its great time to catch-up tbh. You could start pulling Columbina and make progress for a lunar team already.
Story wise cant tell much, its personal preference. But ofc you can play story with old characters.
As for past events. Just look them up on Youtube. They are mostly not important though. Just fun little interludes. Ones that do matter are the 2024 Summer Event and I think there was a couple Sumeru events that fill in some gaps and character moments, but arent important overall. Summer 2024 is the one that is pretty necessary.
I mean if youre worried about the limited event rewards then waiting will just make you miss more.
Natlan is divisive but Nod Krai afterwards is worth going through it. Its been so great.
No one knows when this will happen. Higher chances of Trump taking control of NATO resources and going to war against China/Russia than seeing Genshin ending.

There are people running this with no-pull secondary accounts.
I reached Natlan (or progressed thru majority of Fontaine) with Barbara, Kuki, Dendro MC and Collei.
And major boss fights past Fontaine won't even let you die even if you wanted to.
Puzzles after Inazuma have also become child's play.
