I just noticed this. I thought it was just a big craggy outcrop of sharp rock at first. Is this the potential new area we’re getting in the patch after next?

There's definitely gonna be a new area in Nod Krai because the statue isn't maxed out and we still cant access the souvenir shop (plus during the scene with Arle and Childe there's a locked Shrine of Depth you cant get to so I think it's safe to assume that took place in a new area) but I'm pretty sure we're not getting map expansions next patch (rip Dormant Port)

There's still a shrine there that's locked and I know it shouldn't be there because I 100% Nod-Krai before even touching the AQ (Unless they locked it again but in that case why)

wdym locked? is there not enough keys to unlock all the shrines or something, because i unlocked that specific shrine yesterday without issue.

Oh I think it was scripted to appear locked in that instanced scene. I unlocked everything before doing the AQ. The shrine resetted to locked state just for that part.

Yes as you can notice there's a Paimon barrier right along Kipumaki cliff. Also there's a lone island somewhere west/north-west

Looks a bit more unfinished compared to the area in the west, could just be Snezhnaya placeholder. The place you are seeing that from is around the place Arlecchino met up with Childe to escort the Nod-Krai people's evacuation to Snezhnaya, no?

Childe mentions he has to take the long way around from Shneznaya to avoid the gaze of Dottore from his lab I think, so this is probably something along the direct route there? Assuming it's north east ish.
