Would you say Genshin Impact is a game you can play casually?
I used to be an avid Genshin Impact player, playing every single day since release, up until some point in Sumeru. I ended up quitting because I got overwhelmed by the quests (the Aranara was one of the last ones I did before quitting, lol).
I have recently reinstalled the game and started unlocking Fontaine but haven’t explored most of it or touched any of the newer areas. Looking at the list of quests and all the unopened areas immediately overwhelm and intimidate me, and I am no longer as “available” as I used to be.
So my question is, would you recommend Genshin Impact to someone who can only play casually? When I google this question, the answer is yes because it only takes 15-30 minutes per day to finish the daily tasks, but what if I can’t log on everyday? What if I’m only willing to play it maybe 2 hours on one day per week?
I do like this game… and playing it again after two (?) years has brought me great happiness and nostalgia, but between all the oculus collecting, constant new content, and grinding for artifacts and materials… I don’t know if it’s feasible in my case.
Note: I just won 50/50 twice in a row and gotten Xilonen and Columbina but I can’t do anything with them since I haven’t unlocked their regions 😣

While people might say that you will miss out on some primos bc of not finishing all your dailies, enjoying the game and not getting burnt out is much more important. Also, while some players do grind so they can clear the hardest endgame, for like 90% of the player base it's not the biggest priority.
Basically, enjoy the game and don't stress about it that much.
You decide what you engage with, and when. Just focus on your own enjoyment. Chip away at it and do what you feel like putting time into, or just don't login for a week if you don't feel like it. The quests and exploration isn't going anywhere.
Good to know: they've changed how dailies work since then! You gain points for just playing the game (doing a quest, event or opening a chest). When you spend resin, you can consume these points as your dailies. So you can just play and progress nowadays, and get your dailies for free on the side! So those 15\~30 minutes can be progress instead of just doing dailies!
Also - they added a few unlocked waypoints in the new areas so you can get there easily, to obtain mats for newer characters! Just be aware you might encounter some world quests there as they've added more forced starts...
And I didn’t see that there were unlocked waypoints in the new areas!! Will check tomorrow, thank you so much 🥰
The first is significantly easier to do, but it's a game you can do whatever you want, everything is possible, but obviously if you don't login every day you have less primos
I used to enjoy exploration, especially back when it was just the first three regions, but exploration has gotten really… dizzying and confusing post-Inazuma. So, I guess my concern is… not making progress exploration-wise and story-wise when I’m unable to spend that much time on it.
To do quests, either just go with the top one or the closest to you where ever you are, that's how I do it. I will randomly fight mobs and then when I feel like doing a quest, I just find one that's closest to me and do that.
Genshin has a great story and exploration, quests are just side content and you need to do them all at once
[here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpactTips/s/wqIVaXHEiY) is how to build her.
just a tip that you can use the Hoyolab app to efificiently and easily share your whole character roster with more information and details like their constellations. Go to the globe icon at lower bar menu > select Genshin Impact > select Hoyo Guides > select Battle Chronicle > select All Characters
And you started back up again?
And you still can’t decide for yourself if this is a game you can play “casually?” This is a You question. A You problem.
If someone else has to convince you that the game is fun? If someone else has to tell you to slow down and just enjoy it? If you can’t tell yourself it’s a game meant to be played for fun?
I don’t think it’s the right game for you, sorry.
