I finally did it... This Stygian is horrible

I had to build both Ineffa and Columbina this cycle as I just got both (Bina more recently) so ignore her being level 73... That said it must've taken over 50 tries for the stupid first boss. I tried a team of Nahida / Columbina / Lauma / Nefer for the first boss on Menacing but I didn't even get close to killing it. My Nefer tbh isn't built the best, she is on Blackmarrow on the crit Nodkrai set with a ratio of only 50/204 (set obviously brings it up to 80/204). Meanwhile, my Flins has his sig + a ratio of 70/240 (increases with sig and set so its like 100/268) so he does a lot better.

I wasn't expecting Iansan to be the determining factor of clearing it, but here we are. Thank god for Iansan. That all said I'm just glad I get to use my C3 Raiden in 2026. But yeah, this sucked.

lunar shill strategy is to specifically ignore the summons and hit the boss directly since he takes 3x damage from lunar reactions, also legitimately lvl 70 sucrose does more for a flins team than a kazuha does

No, you should be attacking the boss directly and ignoring the chickens. Chickens are for people who doesn't have lunar damage.

Also, your 2nd and 3rd teams could use a rework.

2nd team lacks a res shred and it severely hurts your LC damage. The boss shield is weak to electro only, not hydro. Hydro only stops it from regenerating. Having one hydro unit is enough. Putting sucrose there instead of Xingqiu would significantly improve your time.

3rd team needs mona gone, replaced by any unit that is not hydro or geo so that Neuv gets his draconic stack (Lauma works for res shred or any anemo), and you also want Furina and Neuv to exclusively be the hydro damage dealers on the mini-crabs. When boss horn is up, you should completely ignore the boss and just hose down mini-crabs with Neuv, because they transfer 60% of all hydro damage they take to the boss as true damage.

Mav is not really shilled this SO. Dog wants a lot of Lunar damage (Flins Nefer and Zibai when she drops), Shock Trooper wants Lunar Charged (Ineffa + Flins/ decently invested Electro DPS), Crab wants Neuv Furina. Technically Mav can brute force through the dogs (with grouping) or the Shock Trooper shield but she’s at a disadvantage vs all of these bosses.

Yeah Mav does a mega ton of damage which allows her to brute force through mechanic unfavorable to her. That’s her selling point. But tbh since you already have Flins, Ineffa, and Bina, if you level your Sucrose and give her VV, that team will do actually more damage than Mav without her sweaty combos. Give Sucrose a chance she’s very good in the EM heavy meta.

I used flins c1, Bina, ororon, and sucrose on boss 1 and massively struggled to get my 118s clear. I also tried Bina lauma team and it wasn't fast enough. After trying for hours, I really don't think it was a skill issue. I feel like they made the boss difficult for the shilled units too.

Okay update... I didn't know you could just attack the main boss instead of the chickens when it deployed the shield. I tried it on Menacing right now again with my Nefer but this time just attacked the boss and I got it first try with 86 seconds. I kind of want to die. I actually tried it way too many times trying to kill the chickens first.

Yes, the last two (excluding the current one) I beat Fearless. The rest were only Menacing. I even managed to use my Dehya for one of them, lol.

The difference between Menacing and Fearless is substantial. My Nefer is built like yours, only worse stats with 43CR/211CD/855EM. I got 80s on Menacing in a few attempts, but reaching 120s, then 118s on Fearless took me hours. Same thing for the crab with Neuvillette/Citlali/Escoffier/Furina. Ok, playing on mobile didn't help with the crustacean pogo, but this SO edition was the hardest ever for my horizontal C0R0 account.

It’s any NodKrai character that does high speeds of Lunar damage, so Zibai, Nefer, Columbina.

Flins seems to load his dmg into a couple hits a lot more so it does seem like Lunar Charged wasn’t really the plan.

Though all Lunar dmg gets multiplied when hitting the shield.

I just brute forced the 1st boss with a high dps team with no Nod-krai units, was my fastest clear at 69s

Crab was the hardest for me since I do not have Neuv. I did it with Raiden, Furina, Bina and... a healer... Jean maybe? Only had 10s to spare

The shield takes 3x damage from any lunar reaction damage, so you need only around 75K DPS in Lunar damage, which is very achievable with the units you have (although idk about your builds).

Aino doesn’t need real artifacts or to be leveled past that. Mine is also Level 70 and c2 and she works just fine. The biggest thing is to give her a metric fuckton of ER and then just some crit rate for Fav. She doesn’t need any other stats.
