Three Moon Sisters Looking Human

Hey guys, so I have been seeing a lot of people in the community wondering why the moon Sisters look human if they were created by a Dragon, Nibelung. I personally have a theory that I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone mention yet.

Nibelung created the Moon Sister after meeting the Voyager right? Now I don't know 100% for sure if it mentions that the Voyager was humanoid or not but I always assumed that they were.

So what if the reason the Moon Sisters look like humans is because Nibelung created them to look similar to Voyager?

This could be it. But then again there are lots of characters from different Hoyoverse games who aren't human but still look like it. Most have lore reasons but even then it's hard not to just chalk it up to lazy character designing

The native population was dragons.

Though they probably did change into human form as to not scare humans.

The Moon Sisters were created before Nibelung left Teyvat in search of a way to stop the Abyss. Then the Heavenly Principles came as the first Descender, defeated the Sovereigns, and brought humans to Teyvat.

Then Nibuleng came back after being corroded by the Abyss, and became the second Descender. This was when the war of Funerary Flame took place.

Well, one thing to keep in mind is that Voyager probably does NOT look human. Take this excerpt from Deep Gallery's Distant Pact (the Feather from the Deep Gallery's artifact set):

She regards humans as "chordate animals", which would be odd if she was a chordate animal herself. If she's NOT a chordate animal, then it means she's an invertebrate, like an insect, mollusk, or starfish. It may also mean that she has no physical body at all.

In my estimation, it's more likely that the Moon Goddesses were NOT originally human-shaped. They either had no bodies, or were draconic. When HP came along, the Goddesses took on human form. Possibly because HP asked or demanded it of them, or maybe because they hoped to curry favor with HP, or wanted to appear in a form that wouldn't intimidate humans they might interact with.

This makes sense. Many of the powerful characters in Genshin regularly do shape shifting when it suits them.

Nope.

Her form is human.

When it was just the three of them in prison they were all in human form. That means they are human in form.

Your except is noncanonical flavor text.

What is shown is what is canon.

We have never seen Seutervoinen before. And artifact lore is certianly not "non-canonical" flavour text.

Plus, we know powerful beings in Teyvat can change form, so it's not outrageous to assume the Moon Sisters would don a human form after the Heavenly Principles took Teyvat as to not frighten humans. Since the Angels and Shades also seem to have a human form.

All artifact and weapon text is canon lore. Books are where it gets iffy, and the *books* exist canonically, it's just sometimes dubious if they're true.

The moon goddesses may have chosen to maintain their human forms for various reasons, assuming they looked different originally.

The short answer is that we don't know, but it most certainly isn't impossible for them to have looked differently at first.

I have always had a problem with this reasoning, which is I believe predominant. Biologists use these types of classifications, and even human biologists would describe humans a chordate. Ernst Haeckel, the German 19th century biologist who came up with it, was himself human.

Now the Voyager could be hominid, or like an octopus, or like a cube of pure light - we don’t know for sure, and we have no reasonable evidence either way.

Sorry but the only explanation is an epic fail from the writers like the flooding in Fontaine despite being on an elevated ground with waterfalls all around or Raiders dubious timelines, it just doesn't make sense.

Fontaine could easily flood because of the properties of Primordial Seawater.

And I don't know what's so dubious about the timelines.

Yea sure, you could make primordial seawater float in the air or be smart as a whip but still it just sounds too far fetched to cover the epic argumental flaw that it was.

Everyone knows that the Sacred Sakura tree coudnt exist if Ei was alive those two entities shouldn't exist together or Makoto should also be the archon, again one can almost find far fetched explanations but it's still a flaw in the plot.

They were used by Nibelung.

Nibelung did not create Teyvat. He found Teyvat and took it over.

if we go by what fujin of chenyu vale said, i think they take human form because they think human is interesting.

these powerful beings are immortal. they do not need to eat, sleep, or do anything to exist, so they probably lack of emotion and their life is very mundane and stagnant compared to human life.

honestly, my personal theory for it is a "they look like humans to you?" kinda situation

that is to say, they look human because they're being observed by a human/human-like being
