Day 1 Players, name something embarrassing you still don't know about Genshin...
I'll Start. I still don't know how to properly use Sucrose.
I have her at C6, Good Artifacts and Sac. Frag Weapon, Triple Crowned for fun and I am awful at using her.

Apply +3 dendro, and react with +2 hydro? Bloom reaction, with still +1 dendro left on the enemy you can react again without having to reapply the dendro.
If you just want to trigger something it doesn't really matter, but when you've got competing reactions, or want to make reaction timing efficient, then you might start to care (I've never really bothered).
I just use furina ineffa escoffier mavuika + random bullshit go
Dendro + Electro = Quicken (doesn't actually do anything other than apply a quicken aura)
Quicken + Dendro = Spread (Big pp dendro damage)
Quicken + Electro = Aggravate (Big pp electro damage)
Dendro + Hydro = Bloom (Creates a bloom core that explodes after a short time)
Bloom core + Electro = Hyperbloom (Damage scales on EM of electro trigger)
Bloom core + Pyro = Burgeon (Damage scales on EM of pyro trigger)
Dendro + Pyro = Burning
Assuming it is one of her regular teams and not some copium shit like funnelling Xiao:
Get 4 pieces of Viridescent Venerer, with as much EM as possible
Swap her in, swirl the required elements like every other anemo character, swap her out.
C6 is not that relevant, her Q is very moody about absorbing the element you want it to absorb. You can even just not cast her Q most of the time.
There is the "guoba swirl" trick that is a bit mechanically intensive but no modern comp uses it
That's it. You can put TTDS, Hakushin Ring or Sac frags on her depending on the situation. Usually its TTDS.
dendro plus hydro equal bloom and bloom core on the ground
bloom cores on the ground plus pyro equal burgeon
I’m by no means giving you an optimal play style but I usually just hold skill aim it at the ground for a quick plunge that gives you three mirrors for the ability then I just normal attack with a charge attacks here and there to top up on mirrors.
plunge/CA: get 1 shard
use burst when no shards: get 3 shards
use burst when 1 shard: get 2 shards
use burst when 2 shards: get 1 shard
use burst when 3 shards: lose all shards.
goal is to always have an uptime of 3 shards when spamming NAs.
that's it.
Essentially, I thought Swirl was the only way to trigger a reaction 🤣
Mizuki also has a weird passive ability where characters have a chance to recover additional HP from food that increases in probability depending on their friendship level but no one really cares about that.
Nod krai recently introduced some extra stuff with aino and ineffa where you can get a bolt through friendship and some other thing and exchange them for a skin for their summons(birgita and the duck) but it’s not crazy different from the og
Preferably with a Pyro off-fielder for some vapes.
Outside of that it just comes down to what you need overall. If I really need ER on a character because they basically just exist to use their burst, then 25% ER on a piece might be great, whereas it's useless on characters without energy.
When it comes to attacks, they have a certain amount of time before the next attack can start (frames), but a movement can interrupt an attack. The idea of a dash-cancel is to end a long attack animation early by dashing, so you can go again. This is only useful if dashing is faster than the attack animation.
It's very similar to animation cancels for reloading in FPS games. You want to start firing as soon as the bullets are loaded, not when the animation finishes, so if you use something else to stop a reload animation early (but still reload) you start firing soon.
but you probably know what it is now due to more recent content dealing with khaenriah already.
but yeah same Enkanomiya was so drab that I really just phased out and ignored it all. no clue how important the lore is but whatever
Now cast in eternal darkness and surrounded on all sides by the original inhabitants (vishaps), the city had to fight for survival in a dwelling not meant for them. After some years of pleading to the gods, Istaroth (time god), granted one of them the knowledge to construct and artificial sun to ward the vishaps away. Some time later, this sun would be the target of a group of people who wanted to use it as a proxy god to control the populace. They installed puppet leaders, who had absolute authority, in the forms of young children who were eventually sacrificed to the "god" when they proved no longer useful or became too curious.
Some time later, the Archon War happened and one of the losers, a Snake god called Orobashi, fled to the space Enka was in and was invited to be their god. Orobashi agreed and proceeded to, oust the Sunchild regime, seal the Bathysmal Vishaps below the artifical sun, and use his own body to form a bridge back to Teyvat, leading to the formation of Watatsumi.
You end up there because Enka happens to exist in a liminal space that borders multiple realms (also one of the first exposures to the idea of "realms" outside of just "abyss vs reality") and it threatens to devour the vitality of Watatsumi. To counter, the old island residents made a ritual that you participate in to rebalance the realms. You find the abyss there because they are in search of a book that basically tells the story of how the world came to be and was probably the single biggest lore drop the game has ever given us in terms of how much we learned in so little a time. The book confirms things like the HP not being the original creators, nor rulers, and the sky being fake (confirming what Scara found out in the 1.2 event) which are big sins against HP and why Orobashi was condemned to death.

I follow the character building guides and give my characters their best recommended artifacts, only to realize later I'm supposed to give other artifacts to max the DPS character output.
There's also an underlying topic in each nation: friendship in Mondstadt (Venti trying to help Dvalin without hurting him), independence in Liyue (the Liyue Qixin tyring to defend Liyue without Morax or the adepti), rebellion in Inazuma (the civil war between the Shogunate and the Sangonomiya Resistance), betrayal in Sumeru (Nahida being caged and forsaken by her own people), fate in Fontaine (Furina being cursed to face the destruction of Fontaine), unity despite diference in Natlan (the six tribes uniting to repel the abyss, despite being mostly independent and even sometimes rival entities), revenge in Nod-Krai (literally half the cast having beef with Dottore, Rerir's supposed grudge against the Moon Goddesses, Arlecchino's blood debt to Rerir, etc.)
But practically, I just save them and use them whenever I want to quickly build a character. Like when a new character releases along with the boss that has their materials, so I couldn't have pre-farmed.
My bag is almost always full, not knowing what artifacts can be trashed
I also don’t know some of the lore of the game. I am a lore skipper like Varka and my friends who are discussing the lore are annoyed at my ignorance.
I was still in the mentality of old co-op domains where you have to get out once you clear them to re do it. Also they used to throw the drops on the ground where u have to pick each individual item like a regular mob drops. Good old stuff.
1, additive, which adds a bonus to the base damage of the reaction before the formula applies. Only spread and aggravate use this so it's mostly irrelevant
2, amplifying, which multiplies the reaction damage after the formula applies. Vaporize and melt use this, which is why they're so powerful
3, transformative, which deals an instance of damage which is independent of the attacks that caused it, i.e. instead of your attack dealing reaction damage it deals damage, causes the reaction and then the reaction deals damage. Most reactions use this, the ease of use and increase in DPS made them successful before amplifying reactions were massively buffed by a large influx of powerful pyro, hydro and cryo characters (Arlecchino, Mavuika, Neuvillette, Skirk, etc)
But in all seriousness, I still can't figure how to stop flying when you use Fischl burst
