How can I access this Void in Sumeru, that is between the forest and desert area?

Is there any quest that I missed that allows me to access it? Whenever I try to get close to it, Paimon says, "How about we explore the area ahead of us later?" That is the response we get whenever we get close to the extreme edge areas of the map that are not developed and released yet, but here, when I stand close to it, we can see something like a giant dried-up tree branch with a glowing ball at its core

You need to progress in the Aranara quest to unlock old Vanarana

Obligatory :]

Dharm-Bhakt2026-01-28 06:38

I can't believe it still isn't finished yet. I checked the Forest Adventure Journal, and I've completed 1 to 5 of the quests. Right now, I'm at Dream Nursery > Children of the Forest > Adventure with Aranara. I select this sub quest, but it's not giving a marker. Am I stuck?

This part?

Namiko-Yuki2026-01-28 06:48

to progress children of the aranara you literally have to go adventure with aranara
doing the following world quests
1 - Agnihotra Sutra
2 - An Unwavering Culinary Dream
3 - Varuna Gatha
4 - Vimana Agama
5 - Encounter in the Woods

Dharm-Bhakt2026-01-28 06:54

In my Forest Adventure Journal, there are the following entries:

1- Woodland Encounter

2 - Dream Nursery

3 - Varuna Gatha

4 - Agnihotra Sutra

5 - Vimana Agama

Looks like this is going to be a long, long ride. 😫

Rubber_Duckling20122026-01-28 07:04

It is a long long quest haha. I think you also have to find ALL the scattered aranara throughout what is green on Sumeru map.

stormwalker1242026-01-28 07:09

You definitely don't have to find all 60+ Aranara in Sumeru to unlock this area because I still haven't done that but have completed the whole Aranyaka quest.

I think op is missing the "Culinary Dream" subquest & also the follow up to Varuna Gatha, which I think is located in the Vanarana nursery...? Honestly, I couldn't tell you - I don't remember either. [Here's](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Old_Vanarana) the wiki page for the locked area - maybe that'll help more.

Connect-Pickle45202026-01-28 07:33

You have to find all of them if you want their vault unlocked

thetreeshavenoses2026-01-28 07:09

Its probably one of those world quests that doesnt appear on your quest log, but the quest will appear out in the open when you explore sumeru. If you're lost, u should look at the book and it will tell you where to go to start the quest.

Aranara

exclamationmarks2026-01-28 06:15

When you first enter Sumeru, there's a woman being attacked by the side of the road on the way between Gandharva Ville and Sumeru City. Doing that quest line to completion will (eventually) lead you to opening this area.

Dharm-Bhakt2026-01-28 06:39

I've actually done several of these Aranara quests. In the Forest Adventure Journal, I've completed 1 to 5 of the quests. I'm currently at Dream Nursery > Children of the Forest > Adventure with Aranara. I select this sub quest, but it's not giving a marker. Am I stuck?

kima092026-01-28 08:10

That's the worst part of the Aranara quests and why many of us hate it so much. We don't have any quests markers and the location hint from the handbook is very very vague. It's pure frustration for me.

Tatarantula422026-01-28 06:42

But prepare, the area you want to unlock is rather late in the quest series. Don't haste unlocking this. Sumerun rainforest will slightly change progressing this quest line. It's worth it, but sometimes a bit draining.

There´s a long quest about small creatures inhabiting the forests called Aranara, you can start it west of Gandharva Ville saving a girl from fungi.

I remember I had the same problem back in the day, I thought there was a quest to unlock the desert.

Dharm-Bhakt2026-01-28 06:41

I've actually done MANY of these Aranara quests. In the Forest Adventure Journal, I've completed 1 to 5 of the quests. I'm currently at Dream Nursery > Children of the Forest > Adventure with Aranara. I select this sub quest, but it's not giving a marker. Am I stuck, or am I missing something else? This is probably the most tedious quesline in the whole game.

Paulistarlight2026-01-28 09:09

You can check this quest in yt and see how to progress, that´s what I do when I´ve tried everything and still clueless about what to do next.

This little maneuver's gonna cost us 51 years.

MagyTheMage2026-01-28 06:27

I actually did the :] quest (it took me like 45 years) and *Still* dont have this.

Wtf am i misssing?

notthatjaded2026-01-28 06:45

You did not do it all. That section of the map is a major location in the latter part of the quest chain.

RubApprehensive25122026-01-28 06:40

Well, someone has to tell him.

It is a long quest. The: "Complete the Aranyaka Part I - Woodland Encounter" quest to be specific.

It took me around 8 hours to fully complete. You need to complete all parts to open the area.

you start the quest by helping [Rana](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Rana) in [Avidya Forest](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Avidya_Forest).

Here are more notes if you want to see it: [Woodland Encounter | Genshin Impact Wiki | Fandom](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Woodland_Encounter_(Quest))

A_Noelle_Main2026-01-28 06:46

This area is the last part of the main Aranyaka WQ. Why are you even saying OP needs only to complete Part 1?

RubApprehensive25122026-01-28 06:50

It was a typo from ctrl v and c

Dharm-Bhakt2026-01-28 06:47

I've actually done several of the Aranara quests. I'm currently at Dream Nursery > Children of the Forest > Adventure with Aranara. I select this sub quest, but it's not giving a marker - and I think I'm stuck here. In the forest adventure journal, 1 to 5 entries have appeared, i.e. Woodland Encounter, Dream Nursery, Varuna Gatha, Agnihotra Sutra, and Vimana Agama.

RubApprehensive25122026-01-28 06:50

Did you complete all the quests in the handbook?

RubApprehensive25122026-01-28 07:02

Also, make sure you talk to this little fella as well.

Dharm-Bhakt2026-01-28 07:16

I suppose I've already done that because I just went to that very location, and he's not there.

RubApprehensive25122026-01-28 07:54

Then yeah, you still have something in the questline that you need to finish first.

Able_Force_37172026-01-28 09:59

Enjoy clicking your mouse for the length of the Sumeru AQ.

doomasect2026-01-28 13:07

Oh you got to go fight Marinara.
