Why I think this year's Latern Rite is pernament

We now know that Zibai was imprisoned and this year Latern's Rite is tightly connected to her.

What if the Frost Moon was her prison and now that it's back inside Teyvat border, she could return?

That would explain why we didn't her in the past and why it stays.

I doubt it's gonna be locked behind Nod Krai's AQ, but that'd explain somethings there. It's might be sth like Xinyuan SQ, that came before last year Latern's Rite.

i think that more simply, they are starting to make the biggest would-have-been limited time events permanent, and that's it.

Which should have been a thing long ago as most lantern rites and/or summer patches are among the most important (and best) content in genshin.

Simulanka not being permanent is a literal crime.

Well I didn't play simulanka and could tell the SQ was inadequate. Heck paralogism was weird for me. I was like where the heck did this small dragon come from.

I didn't argue against anything you said either. I was just pointing out that durin is one of those characters without a proper origin story because of not keeping quests permanent.

You are bringing how you "disliked Durin story" as a sort of argument of why Durin doesnt have a "proper origin story" even tho his Story quest literally outlines his entire origin

Both Durin and Zibai get a permanent story quest explaining their origins, be it an actual story quest, or her origin story within lantern rite. Disliking either or liking them both doesnt change that fact

I never said I disliked it. I said how it is incomplete. Without simulanka durin's connection to wanderer feels so random.

The point is Zibai permanent story quest is a consequence of how they fucked up by not making simulanka permanent.

Paralogism is still weird af to any new players. Also the albedo imposter quest .I played it but those who didn't gonna be missing pieces in paralogism.

It can be simply to test making events permanent, more so if they are gonna use them for the main story quests....they would have known since paralogism that not having simulankanand Albedos event as permanent content hurted the games quality....so they have to start saving Up the events they take as important in the Lore so they dont receive hate in the Next paralogism like story they pull

I doubt it’s the frostmoon simply cos columbina would’ve noticed something or someone. Also the fact that she could still ‘appear’ on teyvat when that wouldnt be possible just being an angel if the moon was beyond the firmament at the time.

We already have a permanent Windblume in Paralogism, and that quest requires completing all of Sumeru + Inversion of Genesis and reaching AR40.

So it’s entirely possible that this permanent Lantern Rite is only going to be available after Song of the Welkin Moon Act 8 (in fact, the devs literally tell us in the official event post that this quest is recommended to complete first).

It’s only possible to quickstart now because of limited time event rewards.
