Not want to cause drama... Who do you think are the characters suffered with Xingqiu-Chongyun syndrome?
Its about X character always been shared with the spotlight to Y character who is more fleshed out to help X to stand out.
To be honest, aside from his hangout, do we ever seen Chongyun act alone without Xingqiu in fact Xingqiu can act alone without Chongyun?
Its not like Alhaitham-Kaveh situation where they are paired together in equal footing how fleshed out they are, its just how it can back-fire to that character with the other more fleshed out character as a narrative crutch of their traits, goals, and importance.
Just like Clorinde-Navia... Navia is there with Clorinde to flesh her out but its just feels like Clorinde's identity of Navia's more prominent characterization just overshadows her so much... and its not funny that they always been paired with each other that doesn't help Clorinde's identity at all for the audience.
Maybe if they have their own spotlight without the other may as well be more beneficial for a narrative standpoint... what you guys think?

Navia is actually a terrible example for this since Iirc she has the most voicelines of any playable in the 4.x timeline while Clorinde has only a fraction of that.
Navia is a yapper alright and she's flesh out... while someone like Xiao isn't but he already solidified his character to the audience.
As for Xingqiu and Chongyun, I just believe Xingqiu still have that edge with the events like the Iodori festival, story quest, even for having anecdotes, while Chongyun just have his waterborne poetry in 4.1 where Xingqiu is sidetracked while Chongyun have a good character development... even though just a glimpse of his innate condition but literaly overshadowed by Diona's, well you get what I mean...
Ineffa and Aino is a positive example of this trope.
Mondstadt/Liyue poetry event
He didn't even tell Xingqiu about what happened with callirhoe and finch
Navia and Clorinde are similar - on her own, Clorinde isn't very talkative or sociable, while Navia has that in spades.
