There's no such thing as bait on here

Y'know believe it or not, some people think negatively about the game because they want it to suck less.

Just speaking the truth for anybody here that actually has an original opinion and keeps getting silenced. I can't tell you how many discussions turn into people shaming on another for speaking.

There are plenty of people that make posts just to bait someone , I get what your trying to say but it’s just not true and this goes for all of Reddit not just this sub

Not really. It’s mostly the same unoriginal topics reposted daily, insignificant nitpicks, or outright dumb takes that—rightly so—get push-back because they aren’t good. Framing that as some kind of chad truth is cringe at best.

When I see posts you most likely are referring to, the Fry meme saying "Not sure if troll or just stupid" pops up into my head.

If you need a game to “suck less,” it’s probably just the wrong game for you.

Upvoted for Algol.

What's your opinion? And I truly believe it is your unfiltered, dogshit opinion. Speak your truths.

If it's such dogshit opinion that it gets mistaken for bait then it truly is so bad it would have been better left unspoken.

You can freely criticize this game a fair bit and most people will agree, some will disagree and that's the beauty of having an opinion. Then there are just takes the majority will disagree with and that's just that really.

What I'm more upset about is just silent downvoting without engaging the comment, it's nice to know why you're in the wrong.

People are allowed to have opinions, and simply having one that somebody disagrees with doesn't give them license to be abusive. But when people express their opinions in ways that show contempt for the basic standards of common courtesy for others, they have no one but themselves to blame when people react negatively. Being free to express oneself doesn't make one free of the social consequences.

It's also worth keeping in mind that a community for a game is, by default, inherently slanted in favor of the game. Even so, I've seen a fair number of negative opinions expressed about it here that received little to no criticism simply because they expressed the opinion civilly. If someone chooses to express their opinion by engaging in *ad hominem* attacks or being relentlessly and vitriolically negative, it's disingenuous to act surprised when people don't respond well.
