Imaginaurim theater: getting full stars, is the investment worth it?

I just finish act 8 for the first time(woo) and i was missing one star to get... Full stars.
This is the supporting cast, other than this I don't have any of the characters currently featured.

From this list the only ones who aren't really invested in are furina, and raiden(raiden is on an EM build, but i don't use her anymore).

Is it worth the investment it would take right now, to build furina just for this one star? I'm currently at 7 stars total still. I have 7 fragile resin, I'm not sure if this is the hill i want to die on

Depends on the person. For a lot of long time players it’s a test but most probably do it for the challenge for newer players most probably more for the Primos .

Yeah true i mean for RIGHT now because this one ends in three days, if the next one is cryo/geo i would 100% not be able to achieve it

Next is Pyro, Hydro and Geo. They always reveal stuff like that in the update notes at the start of a patch.

Congrats on doing act 8 for the first time!
You gain nothing getting 8 stars so don’t worry about it. The rewards for stars gained are set at 3, 6, 9 and 12 so by getting 7 stars you’ve already gained the max reward you can get at act 8.

If you do want to work on your characters though then the IT resets this Sunday with hydro, pyro and geo as the elements so you could check if you have enough characters of those elements and maybe build some if you don’t.

The only elements i "have" that are worthwhile are dendro, hydro, and electro unfortunately(which sucks because i want zibai but that's besides the point)

I have arle but she's... Well, not so good anymore. I'm mainly asking if this is worth the investment it'll take to get 9 stars, for that thing that allows me to craft artifacts.

From the looks of it I won't be able to complete it next refresh at all

I completely relate to struggling when one of the IT elements is geo.

More than the artifact elixir it’s worth it for the primos to try build enough characters to be able to do hard or visionary mode each IT cycle.

Looking at the characters you have I would consider levelling up Bennett for sure as he would help with your Arlecchino team and then some others you could consider bringing up to 70 for the next IT to try reach the required number of characters are Thoma (shields are always nice), Mona (for the buffs), Barbara (for the healing) and Aino (another option for Flins to free up Bina if you do pull Zibai). Venti is also good in IT for rounds where grouping is handy but he wouldn’t be useable in the next IT.

Leveling up to 70 completely escaped my mind you're right.

But RIGHT now, you think it'll be too much investment?
I'd rather not spend fragile resin.

Geo i have absolutely no one other than the 4*, no albedo, navia, itto, or anything

Right now no. You can’t get 9 stars for the artifact resin without having enough characters to do visionary mode so for this IT you’re done. Save your fragile resin.

But see how many characters you’re missing on Sunday when the IT resets and if you’re close to having enough to do hard mode again then I would over the next month level up some of those characters that I’ve mentioned to 70 so you can try. Flins and Ineffa are two of the special guests so between him, Neuvillette and Arlecchino you should be able to do hard mode again even if you’re lacking geo. You could also try borrow a geo character from a friend.

IT really rewards you for building random 4 stars on your account so it’s worth levelling up the characters you have. Often when I have nothing that I specifically want to spend resin on daily I pick a random 4 star to focus on and build for a week. Currently I’m finally building Ningguang to try her with Bina and to just have at least one more geo character for IT as like you I have none.

And speaking of which, i see people say that a lot but I've NEVER seen the option to borrow from a friend, how do i even do that?

So when you’re on the party setup page at the very start there should be a button on the right side that says “invite supporting cast”. If you click that it gives you the option to borrow one character from someone on your friends list. You can only borrow one character at a time and while you can switch that character later for a different character you can only borrow from each friend once a month. I know the leaks sub reddit (and probably this sub to) have an IT master thread each month where people share friend codes to find the characters they want to borrow.

On the main menu there is also a button labeled “supporting cast” and this is where you can put up your own characters for others to borrow.

Also happy I could help! I really like IT so hope you can do hard mode again next month and well done again clearing it for the first time.

Building Furina is always a good idea, regardless if it helps you getting the missing star here or not. You can use her in so many other situations I doubt you will regret it.

Also, if you have the time, I would try a few more rounds anyway. Every run is different, choose the enemies wisely, the rng might turn up in your favour somewhere and let you get 8 stars.

I want to build furina anyways yeah, i have her and i also have her weapon that i got while pulling for nefer's sig, so i might as well right?

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the fragile resin it'll take to build her, just for the elixer I'll get from 9 stars

The elixirs are a little help but they don't guarantee a good artifact. You can choose some stats but the others are still random and it can still roll on those you don't need (happened to me most of the time 😞) so it's probably not worth rushing to build her with saved resins, only for that, just build her at your own pace.
You can still try the theater again before it expires and test your rng luck, you never know, it might go well. Good luck 🤞
