Probably he uses characters/teams with strong survivability. I usually run prototype ambar Neuvillette in the overworld, for example. Barely use any food _(unless I mess something up in the chess boss)_.

It's not that hard you get like 8-12 eggs per day from a single expedition which averaging out to ten means they've been doing this for atleast a thousand days which isn't really too hard cuz expedition are literally just clicking three buttons after getting commission rewards.

it works for me but i also wfh and cook often in-game, so i can collect every 8 hours no problem and i use my eggs regularly and still manage to have a bunch stacked up lol. i typically do 2 meat/egg expeditions and 3 crystal/ore expeditions. I used to do mora instead of food, but i have like 16 million stacked up so i def don’t need any more mora lol

That's just not how limits in genshin works. It doesn't limit your inventory number, it just doesn't let you to add another batch once you are over a certain number.
It's the same with artifact limits, if you have only 1 empty space for the last artifact - you can still use your craftable resin to receive 40+ artifacts at once. But afterwards, you can't add anymore until you clear your inventory to atleast "1 empty space" again.
