is it worth playing after 2-3 years of not playing ?

i have not played since the beginning of fontaine. i just saw that columbina was added and ive loved her for forever. i even have the plushie of her. i stopped playing due to an incident with a group of irl friends because they reminded me of the characters too much.

how much has everything changed ? is there too much content to go through to even play again ? is it really worth it ? what new features have they added ? if someone could tell me, i’d really really really appreciate it. i haven’t played in forever and i’ve tried picking it back up, but i’ve always gotten too busy to play again. but now i have a bunch of free time and i was wondering if i should play again.

For you, I'd say yeah it could be worth it. It doesn't sound like you left because you mostly had problems with the game itself and, as ever, it's not too different nor is it too difficult to jump back in or even start entirely new for completely new players

Without knowing what happen with your friend group is hard to tell you to come back or not. If a game cause mental stress from something unrelated, honestly maybe seek therapy. Just a session or two can help.

Why not? Sure there is much content to go through, but not too much. Archon quests aren't that long, so you will catch up pretty quick. Besides the story there is some new challenges like Stygian Onslaught and Lunar stages in the Imaginarium Theater. And there is that new artifact transmuter gadget, with which you can make artifacts with affixes of your choice.

I quite before Fontaine and just started before Nod Krai. I love it and I’m even more into it than I was before. It’s a bit more difficult having missed some of the good characters, but all the nod Krai characters will get reruns. Loving my Nefer Lauma Columbia team. I never had teams as good as this one before

If you like the story, it's worth it to come back just for the AQ and world quests alone. The recent summer event location is permanent along with a quest there. You just won't get summer event rewards. The recent update also now has it so the AQ cutscenes can be replayed in case you need a refresh on things that happened.
