Stuck on “In the Mountains”

My girlfriend has been stuck on the “in the mountains” quest for 2 years now. She has to thaw the shards again but the crimson stones aren’t respawning. She’s tried resetting the game, tried logging out and back, uninstalled and reinstalled, verified the file intergrity, contacted support, looked around for hidden crimson stones and nothings worked. I’m convinced there’s something we can do, she’s given up on moving forward in the story quest and I feel really bad.

Is there anything we’re missing?

She said “It’s at the mountaintop and there’s a bunch of robots next to it” “the sky frost nail” so I think so. Forgive me I’m kind of new to the game.

Guys we figured it out, the 2 year quest is over!
The issue was she thought the crystals she needed were frozen but they were just in another location. It was an easy fix and she was more in her head about it then anything. Still thank you so much I know it’s been bugging her for awhile and I appreciate the help. If you were facing the same issue your game probably isn’t broken, just make sure to look around :)
