That's creepy, just tp'ing to a nation and finding no one there.
Everything's still in their correct spot, Nothing is out of the ordinary, no struggle or anything.
But there's just no one there, not a single person.

There actually were some NPC's, like the storyteller guy and some millelith dudes. But some others had disappeared, like the ones in the photo but also the stone selling guy. I thought maybe only the interactable NPC's disappeared but the seller from Second Life was there, so I'm not sure why some disappeared and others didn't

I've had this with an old MMO I used to play, Final Fantasy XI... not with NPCs obviously but when the towns are just missing huge amounts of players that used to be hanging around... it is very weird and sobering. Once a place filled with a thousand+ people... now completely empty.

Always the case with MMOs. I remember playing AQWorlds, which isn't really a big game, but it can pull around 3-4k players daily. Duri gs its heyday in 2013-2016, that could reach around 10k during updates. Then when I tried playing the game again last year, it's honestly shocking to see ghe main city not being full at all. The player capacity is 32 for city instance, but it rarely reaches 10.

They probably went out on a break. Because, y’know, it’s required by law for them to take at least a 10 minute break and a 30 minute lunch break.

NPCs taking a day off is too relatable....Teleport away for a moment and they’re back like nothing happened. Lantern Rite or not, I love it.
