A Quick Thought on the New Traveller Outfit Description
“What a coincidence. The radiation trapped in the planet's crust indicated that the supernova had erupted the very year the twins were born.
Naturally, the two events had nothing to do with each other.
No one would ever celebrate their birth by burying an entire world with it. Such levels of extravagance and cruelty simply did not exist.”
For awhile, I looked at this like nothing but an actual coincidence. Some have been skeptical while others have agreed it’s just a coincidence. I even speculated that it was such. Now, I recently started a second account and something that Dain said in our second meeting really has me thinking. Dain said, “There is no such thing as coincidence” and gave an example of him meeting the traveler after Dvalin’s cleansing. So the question is, who caused a supernova and what was the end goal for it? This must mean Teyvat was always meant to be the twins’ destination… but why? The ship’s AI couldn’t have known about this. Is the ship really the PO? How would a ship hatch from an egg? Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we are being misled.

Then the 'Egg' from which it hatched might be a full on Genesis ark, containing the Gene Vault and terraforming equipment. The vault is ejected on the Ship's first pass over Teyvat, the android emerges from it and becomes known as Phanes, 'activates' or disassembles the Ark to form the firmament and within that firmament has the control to terraform the planet and recreate Humans from the gene vault.
Again, it could easily be wrong, but having an unreliable and primative narrator trying to explain sci fi concepts can end up sounding very abstract and divine. Keep in mind no human would have witnessed this since they were created after, so it must be a legend passed down through multiple speakers. Afaik, even the Gods are creations of PO, not natural inhabitants like the Dragons.
It probably caused the supernova.
Ineffa, Ajaw, and all the other Dragonlords. Wanderer and the Puppet Shogun. Sandrone. The Moon Sisters and Columbina probably also qualify. Curve was implied to have been a burgeoning example before he was killed. Seymour, too. Karkata had more of an animal's intelligence, but probably still counts.
All of these are self-aware, self-determining beings. It's certainly not a stretch to suppose that the ship's AI could be one, as well, and still be an AI.
\- Able to perceive and feel things.
All people and most animals qualify as sentient. Do the AI's I mentioned perceive and feel things? They certainly perceive, and they at least appear to feel, as well.
Or are you going by some other definition of "sentient"? I'd like to know under what definition an intelligence cannot be both AI and sentient at the same time.
As for Wanderer and Shogun, Ei literally talks about disabling Shogun's functions and adjusting her rules. She wants to reprogram her. What more do you need to suggest that the puppet's mind is an AI?
And if Shogun's mind is an artificial intelligence, Wanderer's almost certainly is as well. Their bodies are carved from Irminsul wood, which makes this even more likely as Irminsul has been repeatedly treated as though it's an incredibly sophisticated computer system.
So the argument is:
1. The ship is a living being (which seems less likely, it’s likely an AI)
2. If it is an AI, it would have had to be created and the line about Teyvat being destroyed at twins’ birth suggests the force programmed this AI to come to Teyvat all along… but why?
This brings me all the way back to the introduction of the twins in Genshin’s initial marketing with their introductions being quoted by the still unknown “K.K.” This paired with the fact that Genshin was marketed as a sequel to HI3 has me thinking.
Needless to say after all this, I don’t believe the HP is the ship. I believe it’s a red herring and just a device to carry the material the HP needed to create this world in their image. I believe we are in another universe with another similar character carrying out their own “project Ark”
