Will the devs actually finish certain cliff hangers

Specifically venti and Zhongli and kaeya

Zhongli is such an interesting character we know nothing about we don’t even now how old he is as it says he descended 6000 yrs ago it’s not his actual age. Not to mention all the theories how powerful he actually is and so much more

Venti the same he says he’s the weakest but archon power is based on worship I believe and we have gotten hints that he is stronger than we anticipate

And kaeya do you think he will be a certain plot in khanria’s (i cant spell it.) I feel like theres so much more to him than were given.

I say this bc people have been talking about Genshin 2 and how it’s a continuation of the plot but I worry that they will take these characters and many more and sweep them under the rug. There is so much lore in Genshin between sq and the main quest that it feels like a lot of them are just left unfinished.

We might go back to some stuff, but a lot will be left as is. It's nature of gacha games to leave things not sufficiently explored like that and just move on. That's how Hoyo did with their previous games, that's how they'll keep doing.

I don't know where this Genshin 2 thing came from (people suddenly just started talking about it out of nowhere so I assume it's some leak of dubious provenance) but I highly doubt that Hoyo is just going to sweep the existing stuff under the rug as long as it remains profitable to them. I'm sure there will be a chapter beyond the "Teyvat Chapter" we are currently in but I also don't believe that's happening any time soon. Like two or three years, minimum.

Since Hoyo is building up to filling in more lore about what happened in the long-ago past (around 6000 years), I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they give us more about Zhongli too. Maybe when he gets a third story quest or something.

Venti is sus as hell and whatever he's really got going on under the hood I doubt we'll see until we get closer to the current main story's conclusion. Though he did just get a power up with the "Witch's Homework" stuff...which you'll only see either in a video somewhere or if you have Venti yourself. Anyway, like Zhongli, hopefully he'll get another story quest and we'll get more info.

We got a little bit more about Kaeya's Khaenri'ahn heritage way back at the beginning of the Caribert quest but Hoyo seems content to dole out crumbs here and there such that I've begun thinking that either they aren't going to actually make him a big deal the way they seemed to be setting him up to be at the beginning of the game or he *will* be a big deal but we're going to have to wait to go to Khaenri'ah ourselves first.

It's not a leak, some people just don't know how gacha games work and think the seventh nation is when devs decide they hate making money, so they close the servers because somehow the story can't continue beyond this seventh nation.

It is from a leak, said Genshin 2 starts after Snezhnaya. I’m just assuming it’s something similar to what Hi3 apparently did.

the people that posted the leak even clarified like a week ago that's exactly what they meant. they refer to Genshin CHAPTER 2 as "Genshin 2" but somehow people got it in their heads it means a new game like something like Dark souls 2. I swear tiktok did irrepareble damage to peoples brains.

I think it’s pretty likely that we will see more from venti given that we will presumably see a lot more of the hexenzirkel and he is connected to them

Kaeya will surely see at least a little more development as we learn about Khaenri'ah

I feel like they left as is now very intentionally because they are the 'endgame'.

Do you notice in many RPG that if the main story revisited the first town/characters again, they will uncover lots of mysteries and how everything will be connected.
