Why do people think genshin already ended or has to be ended with Snezhnaya?

Why? I myself want to see celestia up there because I have always has been curious to see what's there and who is actually there in the Heavenly principles. Also the Khaenriah maybe (the past)? Also why the cataclysm actually happened? Why did the Celestia battle against Seven sovereigns? Aren't these questions still unanswered or unclear till now?

Nobody worth listening to actually thinks Genshin is ending after Snezhnaya. It's fairly obvious they've set up the game to go far beyond Teyvat with characters like Surtalogi and Skirk existing. That, and they've openly declared they want this game to last for decades more

Misinformation based on a comment that mentioned "Genshin 2"
and the tiktok brainrotted kids cant comprehend the concept of a "chapter 2" like in HI3rd where the main story ended and a new story started in the same game. To them it means a new game has to release like something like Yakuza 2 or Dark souls 2.
So these kids think Genshin 2 will be a brand new game... as stupid as that sounds.

It makes sense that a chapter focused around the seven Archons would end after we meet all 7 Archons, but that would just lead to a new chapter not a new game.

Because people haven't watched the Travail trailer. Since 2020 we've known there was at least Khaenri'ah planned for after Snezhnaya with the expectation that something related to Celestia would be a thing too.

We definitely already know about the battle between the Seven Sovereigns and the Heavenly Principles though...that's been threaded throughout the lore for years now. The gist simply being that the HP wanted to make the world into a place for humans to flourish and that meant the Dragons had to go.

Presumably because people don't know how live service and gacha games work, and think that the writers might just call it a day once they're done one story arc. Those are the same people speculating that Mihoyo will kill off Genshin 1 and release Genshin 2.

The Travail trailer is irrelevant.

Live services get shut down when they're no longer profitable. End of story.

If Genshin turned out to be a flop in 1.x, Mihoyo would have found an excuse to wrap it up immediately, Travail trailer be damned.

Genshin isn't going to end after Snezhnaya not because Mihoyo released a trailer 6 years ago that said there'd be more, Genshin won't end because Mihoyo can still make money off of Genshin.
