1. **Stygian:** Actually a challenge to someone who pulls sigs and even cons, and has interesting teambuilding and routing challenges to solve that aren't just 'use optimal team + optimal rotation' every time.
2. **Theatre:** Teambuilding has always been my favourite part of Genshin, and while limiting the options and RNG isn't the best way to experience that, I've always liked Rogue-likes.
3. **Miliastra Wonderland:** I can't wait for more enemies and features to be added so even more custom endgames can be created.
4. **Abyss:** Never interested me that much tbh. Didn't even bother with F9+ until Natlan, and was fine with casual 30-33\* clears before Stygian kicked my ass and convinced me to build my characters properly. Now 36\* is a breeze most times, first try with 10-30s to spare usually.
But you're gonna get a LOT of different opinions I feel.
Edit: reasoning

1. Theatre: This is the mode where I can finally become "me", formulate whacky comps and manage my dealt hand
2. Stygian: It gets bonus points for being quick, especially with the Primos
3. Abyss: I'm just tired of it, honestly
bruhmaster_jz2026-01-29 11:28
1. Imaginarium Theatre: cuz this is the mode where u can get a little creative with the buffs and team building, and u can use your friend's c6
2. Abyss: ehh still ok for me, abyss is abyss
3. Stygian: cuz theres tons of overly shilled enemies and its really not fun at all, at least for me
RefrigeratorMobile462026-01-29 11:30
Stygian: Full Primos every time
Abyss: Optimal team comp flex spot. May not get full primos every time but at least I get to select the team
Theatre: Dogwater. Locked to particular elements also means locked out of team comps.

Again after the one of yesterday? At least this time you can put also SO in the pic 😅
Anyway;
1) Abyss Spiral: the standard endgame modality where you can use/test your teams, in different chambers (so potentially in 6 situations). The negative side are that 1) now is often is single target, basically a weaker SO 2) the shilling now is really high
2) Stygian: same standard gameplay so not inflacted/nerfed/limited/made easier by some limitations or rng or super buffs. And if you want challenge, here. If we start with half Energy was almost perfect.
3) IT...for me the less exciting. I pull characters to play them and in their teams, but with IT I have to hope that that character is playable...
Silent-Paramedic2026-01-29 11:37
abyss: great, classic
imaginarium: alright but uninteresting
stygian: I'm not a whale so kinda shit
Necroptune2026-01-29 11:37
Unpopular opinion but IT is the best mode. If you have the units and you can enter its free 1k primo in the bag plus a lot of other resources. And lvling unit to lv70 is not expensive at all. No time limit ( besides bosses ) and no need to stress about getting those stars. Second best is Stygian, you can coop and get almost every reward even if your account is "weak" and final is abyss. Although its easy if you follow meta , if you take a break and come back , you might find it hard. Although, you can get like 33/36stars with ease imho.

IT>Abyss>SO
IT has creative teambuilding due to restrictions and requires planning
Abyss is piss ez but a lot of my faves are way too weak for SO so I actually get to have fun with them there
SO is pain (that I voluntarily put myself thru) and is often is rlly shilled

Img Theater > the other two. I like having fun and creative with my teams although I must admit there are times where I got frustrated with a stupid selections from the RNG.
Spiral Abyss - much more fun when I stopped caring about getting 36 stars. Just do it for the fun of combat. I sometimes make some execution errors in my rotations, but since I've stopped caring, I just go with the flow.
Stygian - Only do it for the primogems, maybe for the feather if I really want to try. But I hate zero starting energy and swapping out weapons to favonius in order to become useful. Nor do I really care about meta

Stygian first because it's endgame content I can play with friends
Imaginarium does some neat things sometimes like rimegrass
Abyss is last but not in a bad way. It's the baseline everything needs to exceed

Abyss and Stygian could be fine but are ruined by ridiculous shilling (Stygian even more so), and theater is ok but takes too much time. None of them are interesting in any way however.
StreetWatercress86092026-01-29 13:13
Because I don't suffer from IT restrictions i enjoy it but it is the harshest of the 3 modes it Also have the most rewards of any of them
FWTKhe2026-01-29 13:22
Stygian gotta be number 1 right? I mean it stresses me out, but the bosses have unique mechanics which make them more interesting.
Theater stresses me out too, but as an end game content its the only thing that rewards a big roster of built not meta characters
Spiral Abyss is good cause it's faster and it's less stressful, but it's it doesn't feel like an endgame cause it's just that much simpler to clear...

For me:
1. Spiral Abyss / Stygian Onslaught (up to Menacing). While a bit different from each other, they are a good way to play around with your teams, and seeing what you can pull off. I'd probably rank SA over SO, because of how many characters are Burst dependent.
2. Imaginarium Theatre. This would be my number one, if the RNG wasn't so chaotic. You could have multiple runs ruined because you never got the right combination of characters.
3. Stygian Onslaught (Fearless). I like the idea of them getting different mechanics to make it harder to work around, but they didn't need the massive stat boost as well.
4. Stygian Onslaught (Dire). I mean, I had to rank it somewhere and I think last place is a good spot for something that is like Fearless, but even more bloated.

Stygian coz it gives primo so much easily u can go up in difficulties but it's for try hard i suppose. I m happy in can get all the primos for min work.
