is there anyway to lower my ping??

Hii, so as the title suggests I’m desperately looking for a way to lower my ping. it’s increased drastically since 6.0 going from 250ish to 370. for context I’m on na server and I’m in Aus. Ik it’s dumb but I have friends on NA. I play on an iPad Air 6 with 128gb of storage. I don’t use any modifiers or Vpns rn etc that could be affecting it. the game feels mostly fine, however now that I think about it, it’s probably not normal for it to take around 3s to pick up drops. it’s just I’m genuinely concerned about my game. will endgame archon quests (snezhnaya+) become unplayable?? weirdest thing is just this morning I was running 330 ping and it’s skyrocketed to 370?? someone pls give advice

Don’t worry, it’s not dumb. Fellow Aussie here and play on NA. My ping sits at 230 consistently though - is it an ISP speed issue? I’m on NBN100

I've tried Gear-Up, it only reduces ping by like 50-100 max, so I wouldn't bother with any VPN stuff like that if I were you.

Don't worry about the game being unplayable, that only happens at 500+ which is pretty rare even for Aus. But if you're hardcore about endgame, some teams might not work 'properly' for you, so maybe avoid teams like Fwd Vape/Melt that rely on specific timings.

Stuff like ping is an ISP / distance to the server thing. Only thing you can really do is making sure you're playing on Ethernet and not WiFi, also how many devices are using your internet - the more devices connected and actively using data, the more ping you'll have.

Do you have Fiber? If not, it's worth considering switching your ISP so you can have Fiber, it'll have the lowest most consistent ping.

There's not much you can do. You can try a VPN that offers better routing for games but considering you're going from AUS to US, you're mainly limited by the distance between the two countries. A quick search on deep sea fibre maps shows west side of AUS going to Asia, while east side goes to US, so west side will suffer even higher ping than the east.

Uh...it was probably hyperbole but 370 ping doesn't take 3s,also,it's not THAT bad,as for the sudden increases,it's cuz of lack of optimization ig,and for the 330-370,probably just the isp issues today

Im an aus player and my ping is around 700 on eu server😭i kinda just live with it now suprisingly i barely have any issue wither than loading in taking like 30 seconds for tp maybe less sometimes

using a (regular) VPN that exits in Ashburn Virginia United States might help a bit. cheapest / best 1 month option costs 5 bucks, it's Mullvad VPN.

The "free" ones are extremely problematic, and don't bother with "gaming" VPNs.

otherwise, move closer to the US...
