Deep wood isn’t really useful on geo characters, and def% on sands has a higher drop rate than any specific main stat on goblet or circlet. Using sands as an off-set piece only makes sense if you already have an on set goblet and circlet.
Also players have a habit of overrating 5-roll pieces. Having an extra stat roll isn’t going to be useful if you get bad rolls. You already after your first roll was flat def your sands was basically equal to a 4-roll piece.
Continuing to level only makes sense if you planned to used a feather and an off-set def sands isn’t going to be a good feather target
