Who should i pick?

My Jean is already C4 and Diluc is C0 (plus I don't care for him). I'm not sure if Hu Tao C1 is better then Yoimiya C1 since I always play Hu Tao with a good shield and don't mind jump canceling. Any help would be much appreciated.

Tao. Her C1 is a massive improvement. Not as much in damage, but in comfort and smoothness.

There is always someone who says this to this type of question, but it is not a useful reply. They are not asking for who they like: if they wanted to just go based on vibes, they would do so without coming here. Yeah, they can decide their own subjective assessment of the characters, but that does not require input from others. What others *can* help with is comment on the objective value of the characters, and if there are any outstanding choices from a meta perspective.

Hu Tao C1 is a massive buff/Qol. I suggest that. But I would also pick Nilou. Not for her C1 but C2. You can get her C2 next year.

Being able to get c2 next year isn't a confirmed thing though. I agree with the sentiment but it would be much wiser to wait until the tail end of the 4th season of this event to pick Nilou with that reasoning. That way we get confirmation via the anniversary stream

Idk about Kokomi's cons but Yoimiya, Ayaka and Eula are not worth it or almost no value in current state of the game.

We don’t see your the full list of characters you have here, but the main outstanding options would probably be:

* Hu Tao C1: Dash cancel is an actual dps improvement over jump cancels even when comparing both of them executed perfectly
* Nilou C1: Mainly as a stepping stone to C2, and we *might* be able to select the same characters again after the first year of the constellation selector (no promises, but seems like a reasonable guess based on how it was presented). Her being actually good today would still be mostly contingent on having Lauma, though.
* Tighnari: Progress toward C6 and getting masterless stella fortuna eventually. C6 Tighnari is also actually pretty okay, all things considered.
* Mona: Progress toward C4 (and eventually, far away, a source of masterless SF at C6). With the Hexerei buffs, she can be actually good, but only if you have teams that want her.
* Honorable mention to possibly getting Ayaka C1 and C2 this year and next year, similar to Nilou. Her C2 is, like, okay, and she can function as a lower-grade replacement of Skirk if put with Escoffier.

If you actually play Hu Tao regularly currently, Hu Tao C1 is a no brainer

Yoimiya's C1 is effectively worthless imo. Hopefully she gets a hexerei-type buff in the future

Other than that Id argue getting Mona one step closer to C4 is the best option by far

Id save the Nilou con for season 4 of this event. Near the end of the 4th season , we should get some more info on the anniversary update. If they announce an updated iteration of this event and refresh the pool, getting Nilou C1 to later get C2 would be huge. Otherwise meh
