Why I don’t like the Cyno is Deshret theory
I’m not that into the Genshin lore, so I probably won’t get all of this right, but anyways… A lot of people believe that Cyno was King Deshret himself. In fact, when you search up king Deshret online, almost all the results are just Cyno.
I feel like the game made it clear that Cyno was Kasala or a descendant of Kasala, though. Kasala had a similar skin tone, the same head piece, and the hair is pretty similar, just brown. He looks just like Cyno and his job was to help build and protect temples. Cyno’s job is to protect the people of Sumeru. Also iirc (don’t quote me on this), Kasala had a fox-eared companion. It reminds me of Tighnari.
Another point I have is while Nahida does find Cyno’s jokes funny, I don’t think she’s as close to him as some other characters are. Why this is important is that in the past, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata (who’s that, an oc?) was close with Deshret and Nabu before everything fell apart.
Idk, I just really want to see art of someone else as Deshret because it’s not Cyno!
Personally, I see some of Deshret in Kaveh: He’s ambitious, likes to build, and is compared to the sun.
But I prefer the Al haitham Deshret theory, because Al haitham and Deshret have the same eyes, in the cutscenes for king Deshret there was a crystal that looked like Al haitham’s green chest crystal, and Al haitham lost a lot of people he loved. He’s also pretty ambitious towards things that are important to him e.g his friends and his nation. Oh, also! King Deshret got corrupted by forbidden knowledge, right? Well, Al haitham pretended to get corrupted by forbidden knowledge. Nice parallel, right?
I don’t really think hoyo will ever reveal who it is, but yeah I feel like people skipped the lore, because no way it’s Cyno.

Because that's literally the name of the Archon Quest in Chapter 3: Act 4 and Cyno is a pivotal character at that time :P.
We know who Cyno is because he got two Story Quests that explain it.
Just shows how most the players dont read
Fr, like it just proves that the people doing the Archon quests weren’t even reading or listening and they just were like “oooh, cool, the guy with the hat? Yeah, he’s king Deshret”, even though it was clearly said it was a priest.
I’m genuinely surprised that so many people thought that way 😭
