Where do you see Genshin going next w/ the reactions?
So, I spent what wishes I had saved and all for Columbina. 55/45 lost to Tighnari (he'll make a fine sandwich XD), and not sure will get her this run, so save for her next rerun. Shame, losing to RNG is frustrating.
The other seed is seeing a genshin player's YT discussing how genshin's evolved since start. First physical dmg as well as anemo for reactions, then later Melt/Vaporize are made viable. Even later, Overload and other reactions get damage buffs. Then dendro comes in and changes the meta w/ hyperbloom--but then natlan comes in and rewrites w/ the Nightsoul, not to mention the powercreep of 5\*s like Mavuika making ones like Diluc obsolete.
Same player went over the Nod-Krai, noticing how the Moonsign mech requires your Flins, Lauma, or whoever to have other Nod-Krai characters for best results or damage--not to mention, all but Aino are limited-time and for impatient/unprepared players, that means swiping CC and praying for rng blessing.
Sneznaya (whatever its spelling) is presumably next region, if understand right, and assuming Mihoyo true to the pattern, Snez characters including cryo archon will have Snez-only reactions and sync best w/ Snez-only characters.
Frankly, IDK. Genshin is among the best I've played when it comes to exploration and puzzles, and very straightforward combat once get the mechs. Great sense of adventure--just not sure how well it'll hold up in future.
Yes, the devs finally got around to updating some characters' kits, wouldn't be surprised if Tartaglia's getting it w/ Snezzy region (yes, I have him benched cause outclassed by Ayato, who in turn is obsolete against Neuvillette).
Right now it's just wait and see here.

There were no such series of events. Melt/Vape was always up there in the highest damage options, anemo always did the same thing in the reaction department, physical was never good (people thought it was decent).
Transformative reactions did get a damage buff but this didn't really affect any late game comps. Overload/Superconduct/Shatter are still terrible to focus on their damage specifically, overload "comps" are enabled by Chevreuse but that has nothing to do with the reaction itself.
Mavuika didn't make Diluc "obsolete", his kit was subpar from the start and Klee immediately took the pyro on-fielder mantle followed by Hu Tao. He did make a comeback with Xianyun.
What? Vaporize and Melt were viable with Hu Tao and Ganyu?? They were literally straight up the best reaction till Hoyo decided to indirectly buff other reactions by giving them a personalized support
