I dont know how teams work, who should I get?

Im currently AR 35, and dont know who is worth picking, i kinda just want to get the one i want without thinking.
But currently heres my character pool, maybe that'll help.

Xingqiu is pretty much always a good choice, Lanyan is also pretty decent. Or just pick Yaoyao so you can actually use the new outfit *right away and have a new healer.

Xiangling and xingqiu has lots of teams that use them and have generally been strong supports since the start of the game. I’d recommend either of those

IMHO at this point Xiangling finally fell off.

Her DPS is not good enough anymore, and she rarely fits into modern teams. And when she does, there are often better options.

Not to mention OP doesn't have Bennett.

I think more is better, if you care about IT endgame. You need 26 characters for hard mode. Which is doable for F2P.

just a tip that you can use the Hoyolab app to efificiently and easily share your whole character roster with more information and details like their constellations. Go to the globe icon at lower bar menu > select Genshin Impact > select Hoyo Guides > select Battle Chronicle > select All Characters

Since you don't have good healer, YaoYao is a good choice and her new outfit is coming out (free) soon. Xingquu is good choice. After that its all up to you

Xingqiu, Xiangling, Yaoyao and Lanyan all have good uses. Good hydro application, good good pyro application and damage, Dendro + healer and shield + artifact buffs. The uses in that order, those 4 are quite useful. If you like one of them go for it, all are nice and the most useful out of all options.
If you want one of the others and are sure you like how they look/ play, then go for it if you will use them/ plan to.
Everyone you use is worth getting.

The only bad choice is picking some character someone onlines tell you that you won't really enjoy playing

the game isn't hard and is a solo game, look how they play and figure out what you'd like

and take your time to make a decision
