Devs made the puzzles in Nod-Krai very easy to complete.
I'm not complaining. I will always love exploring in Genshin. But I've noticed the puzzles and quests in Nod-Krai are very easy to complete. Everything is straightforward. In other regions, I struggled a lot more to find solutions. I sometimes have check YouTube for solutions if I'm stuck for a very long time & that frustrates me. But in Nod-Krai, it was easy. I don't know if I just got better at it, but I completed everything without much trouble

It absolutely feels like they took the map and scaled it down 50% before launching.
Also speaking in a rude way upfront like that unprovoked is something else. I am an actual doctor so I am in the best position to check for brain injuries. There are children who play this game and some puzzles can be abstract such as the mandragora one.
Anyway, the double mountain mechanics of Kazuha's island, the stars on Mona's domain, the raven plays and stairs puzzle on Fishcl. I was rushing but enjoying myself so much!
I don't understand why Genshin is making puzzles easier considering, if they are targeting new players, Inazuma and Sumeru puzzles would have scared them off already. They should be making the puzzles harder OR as hard as before since players have already been through the worst already.
"Goddammit I'm already three days into the patch and I don't have Columbina yet! I don't wanna spend ten minutes solving this stupid puzzle for a handful of primos, just give them to me now!"
There are probably a depressingly large number of players like this who just see exploration as another source of free gambling currency. They want to collect that currency as quickly and efficiently as possible.
My guess would be that Hoyo was seeing too many complaints about puzzle difficulty and probably also had metrics indicating that an undesirable number of people were leaving the game for that reason.
however the fact that its near impossible to solve without google to be kinda unfair, i remember one of them feeling like a non logical solution in a point and click game (some reflection bs) and i just went 💀💀💀 didnt help a big part of the puzzles were in a domain instead of the overworld so its a bit more annoying to navigate.
inazuma only issue were the sakura petal block puzzles especially the one with a high number of blocks. rest were challenging enough to be enjoyable
desert can be a bit tedious but its still fun (wish girdle of the sands had more waypoints on the higher mountains). the best balance for casuals and exploration lovers imo is chenyu vale (fontaine too ig but underwater exploration gives me a headache)
but yeah this nod krai map is just a primo farm rip
The only remotely interesting one was the big lightning cube puzzle on Watatsumi.
Column vs row is ambiguous in rotatable 3D space, but it’s clear that it’s talking about the direction opposite of the face displaying the number.
You are supposed to carve the block that allows you to fulfill the numbers in all directions. This could be the front, the back, or the middle (for edges), but the solution is well defined. This is why the “mark as good” control exists, so that you can use the process of elimination (turn it and mark a column that has its correct number) to determine which block is the correct one to carve.
Agreed.
Deciphering what the mechanics mean for its puzzles from its unnecessairly long and difficult decriptions is harder than the puzzles themselves.
But even then, it was piss easy, and I figured it out.
I think more than anything these are the best indicators of the age group this game is primarily aimed at, they're like Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol level.
Current "puzzles" are now your classic gacha exploration where you just press buttons and earn free rewards. It is good, but it became obsolete and easily consumable. I definitely don't get the same satisfaction while I was trying to figure out the order of symbols puzzle in Enkanomiya anymore.
After problem-solving all day at work, the last thing I want is to get frustrated by what I'm trying to use to unwind.
The exploration after that just got simpler and simpler with each region
What sucks is on this new map you do a braindead task and get 3 chests, and in inazuma you spend 5 minutes doing something for a small chest with 2 primos.
I'd love for the old harder puzzles to be back, but they should be rewarded accordingly.
They've been making them easier and easier since Inazuma cube puzzles confounded some people who couldn't stand being confused by something when those puzzles worked on pretty simple logic and often could be solved by just casting Oz from Fischl and whacking them randomly.
With the exception of Mona's star puzzles in that one event and a few other rare exceptions, everything else has been simple "match-2" memory games or "fit the triangle in the triangle hole" task type puzzles.
Those of us who enjoy more complex puzzles have been annoyed for YEARS.
A lot of the difficulty is reduced by the treasure compass, and that I love. But it's like the size of the area or the amount of content is lower in the last, northernmost area.
chest didn't gave any reward but they count for completion and all the puzzles were combat and very very hard
I hope Snezhnaya will bring back the nice combination of chill exploration but also some challenge. Natlan and NK both feel more like chest collecting simulators instead of real exploration. Atleast to me.
Sadly current genshin barely makes u think.
The players who thought "The Catch" was a monumental task.
The ones who think doing Dailys is too much effort.
if they make the puzzles easy, people will complain
if they make the puzzles just the right difficulty, people will still complain
Devs can't really please everyone when every single group of people has something to say about it
Exploration in nod Krai is a major upgrade, especially because of the new compass. They should update it for the older regions too.
