Hello Fellow Genshi Fam
I am new to this. Have I have been hiding under a rock, yes. Have you heard this asked a billion times before, yes.
Is there no direct answer, yes.
But I am in love with this game so far and I haven't even broken the tip of the iceberg.
I am AR LVL 26. Did thy grinding in literally 5 days.
What are some of the key elements as a beginner to help along the way.
I've managed somehow by the grace of God to aquire some characters but want to know who is worth upgrading and who is not. Made my first mistake of just dunking EXP in players I don't even use just because I didn't realize there were 120 some characters.
Thank you
Besitos

Save up primos and don't waste them on Standard banner... If you like a limited character and their gameplay, pull for them or else save them... There are a lot more F2P weapons for characters... No pressure to pull for their signature weapons...
Take time to do quests and explorations.... While new players have a lot more to explore, after completing all those, you won't get new maps frequently and it will all be events and Daily commissions...
You might have got Bennett, Xianling, Fischl and Xingqiu... Those guys are like old characters and they are still very useful even nowadays. Try Building them...
I also have Dehya and Barbara and Noelle and a few others.
Trying for Xiangling but I am not strong enough yet. Stuck on 3.1 Even tho I leveled up my characters to level 50 it ain't cutting it lol
When starting out, focus on keeping your on-field damage dealers leveled and built built with leveled weapons, talents, and artifacts. Most supports will still do their job even if they're not as well built, but the one you keep on the field most of the time. It's not too hard to keep one or two characters maxed out while you rise through the Adventure Ranks, and once you're high enough AR, it will be much easier to bring the others up to speed as well.
Once you reach high levels, supports are much better to invest in since damage dealers come and go. A top-of-the-line support will last potentially for many years, but top-of-the-line damage dealers get replaced on a yearly basis.
As was stated, don't spend Primogems on blue wishes (Acquaint Fates). Pink wishes (Intertwined Fates) have much higher value. The game will give you blue wishes for free from time to time. You can spend these free wishes freely. I recommend you spend the first sixteen of them on the Beginner's Banner. This banner not only guarantees you Noelle (a very beginner-friendly character), but has a much higher likelihood of giving you high-value 4-star characters like Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling, Sucrose, and Fischl.
If you come across a 3-star sword called Dark Iron Sword, lock it immediately to prevent it from being accidentally used to level other weapons. It doesn't seem like it, but it's an extremely rare item - only two exist in the game. You may or may not find a use for it, but better to lock it and not need it than to lose it only to find a use for it later.
It's a good idea in general to lock down one of each 3-star weapon. Some of them are more useful than they might seem. Black Tassel, for example, seems terrible - it does extra damage to slimes, which are already the weakest enemies in the game. However, some characters love the extra HP the weapon provides because their skills are more powerful the more HP they have.
Google.
Thank you
