Beginner F2P team with Columbina and Ineffa

I am still a beginner, started playing the game around 2 weeks ago and i am looking for advise from experienced players on how to build a team with Columbina and Ineffa. The key thing is that i am low spender (Premium Battle Pass and Blessing of the Welkin Moon only). So i will never get constellations for any key characters or their weapons.

Core of my team now is:
Columbina c0 lvl 70, Prototype Amber lvl 70, talents: 1, 5, 5
Ineffa c0 lvl 70, Deathmatch lvl 70, talents: 1, 5, 5
Sucrose c1 lvl 60, The Widsith lvl 60, talents: 1, 4, 4

These are my other characters, some of them i played until i got columbina and ineffa:

All leveled characters have purple or blue artifacts and maxed.

I am currently AR 43 and WL 5.

It seemed super fun to play with Lauma (It was trial of Columbina i think that allows this), is it a good move to save for when Lauma will return and add her to the team? Before that maybe i could get Yaoyao from event that started today and use her until i get Lauma? Or maybe Yaoyao is not best replacement for Lauma, or maybe Columbina and Ineffa can be paired with completely different characters (different from dendro applier and sucrose).

Any advise is appreciated!

Ineffa + Columbina works with a lot of characters in the game. Of the ones you have, Fischl is probably the best option. If you complete her and Sucrose's witch quests, they will both gain meaningful buffs. Ineffa, Columbina, Fischl, Sucrose is a very solid team.

Lauma is an excellent partner for Columbina. With her, you can use Columbina as an on-fielder with her enhanced charge attacks. Note that this shifts the focus of the team away from lunar charged and towards lunar bloom damage. As a consequence, Ineffa plays a much smaller role in this comp. Sucrose also loses some value since VV can't buff dendro. Still, Lauma is so strong that she makes up for that.

Replacing Lauma with other dendro characters isn't the best idea. What makes her good is the insane lunar bloom buff from her burst, which has great synergy with Columbina's on- and off-field damage. Without that, there isn't much reason to include dendro in the team.

If you run Yao Yao for instance, you'd get an awkward mix of hyperbloom and lunar charged. Ineffa will trigger hyperbloom, so you want to put her on a full EM set. But then, Yao Yao's dendro application isn't reliable enough to keep full uptime, so you will still trigger lunar charged part of the time, which scales much better with Atk. And again, Sucrose loses her res shred in this team, which isn't offset by Lauma's own res shred and lunar bloom buff.

Thank you! That is a lot of valuable information. I didnt know that Lauma is the only dendro character that makes sense in the setup or that if columbina is paired with lauma, then ineffa should be build with EM and not ATK. So currently the best is Sucrose and Fischl, while if i got Lauma should 4th slot still be sucrose or someone else?

Sucrose is good in the Lauma team. Her EM buff is very meaningful since all of your damage sources scale with it. She just shouldn't hold VV since that does nothing for this team. The optimal setup would be Silken Moon's Serenade on Sucrose, Night Sky on Columbina, Deepwood on Lauma, and either Gilded Dreams, Flower of Paradise Lost, or EM/EM on Ineffa.

This team is strong on its own, but it can be further upgraded if you should later decide to get Nefer. With her, you'd have the currently strongest team in terms of sheet DPS.

Oh btw, ditch Widsith and put Sucrose on an EM weapon (Sacrificial Fragments or Magic Guide). This isn't just for the Lauma team. She shares a fraction of her own EM with the team, so build as much of it as possible. The only aspect od Widsith that helps her is the EM buff that only triggers a third of the time.
