It’s on the edge of the map by the qingce village, im a newish player so genuinely dont know what it is. Any way to unlock it, connected to npc stuff or story/character quest or something?

There is a quest that leads you inside, I guess the shield is to let natural light while still forcing players to go through the normal entrance
