as someone with a peak of around 90 mil: buy bp and don't build as many characters 🤷♂️🤷♂️ my mora started going down quite a bit since I've started building a lot, I have like 65m now

That's the point. If you are constantly building characters and levelling up artifacts, you can't have a huge surplus of Mora. I have a little over 90M, but I could absolutely spend it all in one session if I built half my roster. In the recent annual recap, I'd previously spent 50M+ on a single day.
Most often, when folks have 100M+ Mora, it is because they have been farming Leylines specifically to hoard it. Or they're just not building characters. Having low Mora is a good sign.

Because it’s way too inflated compared to previously established lore. 100k Mora is worth like a person’s whole life savings according to the note you found in a chest in the Court of Fontaine, meaning Beidou is a multi billionaire if she can spend nearly 1000x that amount without giving it a second thought. Back in the Liyue AQ, Childe’s 30k bag of Mora is said to be worth a lot. This isn’t real life stuff, but internal game logic.
