This is just fearless btw... Why is this guy insanely tough?? I pretty much have used all I can against him, but he's the hardest I have fought yet in this gamemode!

This isn't even the hardest mode of this stygian but he's too tough wthhh

The mechanic is to deal Hydro damage to all the little crabs and use them to break the shield faster. You might have better luck replacing Mona with Ayato in this instance, for the wider AOE Hydro app. Or at least Xingqiu for really fast Hydro app, to get the crab vulnerable faster.

I also did that and ayato didn't do enough dmg with xq and I also used yelan. This was the best team I had on beating the guy.

Probably just a matter of timing then. If you're able to do all your setup beforehand, and do a Burst+NA rotation on Skirk as soon as the shield goes down, you should get all (or like 90%) of your damage out into it's weakened resistance phase. Then rather than damage for the little crabs, you just focus on breaking them as fast as possible to get to the next down with Xingqiu + Furina.

That's what I did to beat him. Removed the baby crabs and then used all the buff skill to do big damage on him. I used Mona to removed their shield and Furina. And I maxed out skirk's burst.

Basically doing: Furina burst - Escoff burst - when his shield is low then - Mona burst then switch to skirk' burst and then skill and then charge attack to absorb the rifts for longer skill and just hack into him.

Something that needs to be better explained: the small crabs deal 60% of the Hydro damage (and 10% of the other types of damage) they took to the boss, capped at 15% of the boss Max HP. That means if you're hitting multiple crabs at once, you're potentially multiplying your dps. For example, hitting 2 small crabs at once, they'll transfer a total of 120% of your dps to the boss. Hitting 3 small crabs, they'll transfer 180% of your dps to the boss. Also, it's better to hit them with high Hydro dps, since you'll be multiplying that, instead of hitting them with low dps normal attacks.

XQ's skill is very good if you built him with Sacrificial Sword for double use of his high skill damage, but you need to make sure to use it as soon as the small crabs jump to you and group up. Furina's skill, while having good dps, usually only hits 1 enemy at a time which is bad. Same for Yelan, and for XQ's burst. But if you have no other Hydro characters that can deal "more than 20% of Furina's/Yelan's/XQ's single target damage to each small crab simultaneously", then in the end it is better to just use on of those 3 in their place instead.

I had a hard time on menacing haha

Especially first one, using Columbina, Nefer, Lauma and Barbara/Fischl/Sucrose it was extremely hard.

Did it on coop with Flins Ineffa Columbina and Sucrose and it was insanely easy. I honestly feel like Nefer just don't do enough damage.
