I played 30 Days of Genshin starting Jan 1, 2026 – Veteran Feedback required!

As of today, I’m 100% F2P (and if possible want to stay F2P). I finished Mondstadt (story and exploration), Liyue (story) and started w/ Nod-Krai (story) + try to do every event. I got really lucky and managed to get Xilonen + Columbina, but yesterday (day 30): I went into the Abyss and got a hard reality check… These are my teams (all level 60, 0/6/6 talents and trash artifacts):

1. Dehya – Xiangling (C1) – Fischl (C4) – Xilonen
2. Mizuki – Collei – Columbina – Barbara
3. Other characters w/ 0 investment: Ifa, Iansan, Sethos, Gaming (C4), Layla

I really want to min-max as much as possible (w/ shared artifact domains etc.) to 36/36 the Abyss as soon as possible and I feel like my account is at a tipping point. So here r my questions to u, the Genshin veterans:

* R my current team comps decent enough, or **would you have prioritized differently?**
* **Which characters should I pull next?**
* **How high do I have to raise certain character levels/talents (main DPS vs. support etc.)?**
* Story vs. exploration vs. other: **How can I farm as much primos/pulls per hour?**
* **Which build guides would u recommend?** I tryed a mix between KQM + Icy Veins, but sometimes do get confused (they have different recommendations)…

For your 2nd team, do you have another character you can use instead of Columbina? Columbina works best in lunar reaction teams so she isn't really doing alot for your 2nd team

right now, only Aino (didn't include Lynette, Kaeya, Amber, etc.)

You could probably do Lynette and Amber instead of Collei and Columbina for a vaporize team or you can out Sethos instead of Columbina once you build him for a hyperblook team

oh, so Columbina is significantly underperforming without another lunar character? :o

Pretty much, she's restricted to lunar characters. Flins is going to get a rerun soon so I'd say pull for him so you can use your Columbina

nice, I was already thinking about him! Zibai might be good to (cause of Xilonen?), but personally I'd prefer Flins... characterwise

You can pull for either or, they'd both be really great additions to have. Personally I main Flins and he does alot of damage especially with Columbina on my team with him

that's not true, she's way more powerful with other Nod Krai characters but she's pretty useful without them since she can proc lunar reactions. I cleared all Natlan local legends with Noelle using Bina to proc lunar crystalize. I'm pretty sure a team with Mona, Fischl, Bina and Sucrose (or any other 4th unit really) can clear second half of floor 12 due to lunar charged + hexerei buffs. Just because is way easier with Flins and Ineffa doesn't mean its impossible or even really hard to do it without they.

Eakes has a series where he try to clear 36 stars in 3 weeks, from scratch. Check his account on YouTube, you can get value info from it if your goal is getting there as fast as possible.

yeah, I've seen his videos - they r great, but also a bit niche, since he builds around the current banner characters...
lookin back, I kinda regret getting Deyha instead of Mona... now w/ a C4 Fischl even more!

Both teams need a revamp tbh.

A lot of work needs to be done, but right now, I'd focus on doing story + lantern rite. Your account is still really new so just try to get your characters to lvl 90 first

Also, I'd be a bit weary if my goal was trying to rush abyss as soon as possible. 36 star abyss is a long-term goal

Nah, right now, you should just clear the story and world exploration. Level 90 is a necessity for 36 stars abyss tho

- I wouldn't use any of those teams if my goal was abyss.

- Try to get Ineffa or Zibai - any of them paired with Columbina and some 4* will make proper team for endgame. Don't even think pulling Flins/Nefer before Ineffa/Lauma.

- It depends what characters... Supports that don't provide anything based on their stats or if their skills aren't super useful and be left at 70/80; damage dealers usually at 80/90 or 90/90 depending on their scaling and dependence on reactions. Among 8 characters from your 2 teams I would lvl90 Columbina and (if played in reaction-based team) Fischl, XL would sit at 80/90 and others at 70/80.

- Do events and then finish regions one-by-one (story+exploration), mixing up regions would make your experience worse.

- I've been playing since release and it's first time I hear about "icy veins" honestly, maybe it's because I never needed those type of guides but at least I heard about KQM so I'd choose them.

hard pill to swallow, but very helpful!! (regarding Flins)
think I am/was biased towards Icy Veins, cause I've used it for Diablo back in the day \^\^
