Playing since 5 years(Childe banner), came across this today
I mean I never did use any guides for liyue exploration, Still have some chests left too lol

This is why doing new events in old locations is such a nice thing. Once areas are cleared, the rate which people return to them is very low. I wouldn't mind Hoyo populating old areas with new chests, even if they only had mora and resources in them, just to relive some of the fun we had from years past.

Playing since 1.4, few days ago I found 13 chests in Mondstadt in a 100%'ed region, just using the treasure compass and most of them were ridiculously out in the open. Mondstadt and Liyue never fail to surprise me.

Hahaha. I was just about to mention how people used to cope by saying chests respawned when actually they just missed some, and there you go saying it as if it's true.

I myself believed common chests respawned back in the day. I mostly blame:
- Community having mixed opinions at the time
- Common Chests sometimes blending really well into the environment
- I feel like chests sometimes didn’t spawn because of quests; making it appear as if they respawned after revisiting later when the quest was done
The fact that there were videos with routes to collect respawned chests is still funny to me though. Like what did they even show? Shouldn’t they have been debunked in days?

Not necessarily missed, but replaced. The whole respawn thing came to be because as an example, back in Mondstadt AQ we're sent to a hilichurl camp to retrieve Dvalin's tear drop (or whatever it is called) from a chest sitting on a platform in front of a hut. If you come back to it later, there will still be a chest there, but not because it respawned, but because the normal one gets replaced during the quest so you can get the quest item. There's a lot of places where this happened in the beginning of the game since the earlier quests were a bit more on the side of fetching things for the archons.

I wish I didn't use the interactive map for Monstadt and Liyue, I've been having a lot more fun going back into like Inazuma and Sumeru with just the treasure compass.
