That means you can't enjoy half the popular online games of the past ten years.
The DPS Dummy is probably one of the best things we have, and the new PVP mode is a lot of fun, too.
I hope they'll let people use the player character assets and build some actual fanfic like storylines out.
But that stuff barely matters. The DMG test tools are AMAZING and there are already a few fun game modes. The roguelikes amd puzzle games are a few steps ahead but there's a TON potential for other modes.
literally the only good thing about it is the dps dummy and even that wasnt enough for me to care about it.
Too many pieces don't go well with anything else except their intended set, and their colors can't be changed to compensate. I have several 3 and 4 star pieces which look good by themselves, but don't fit with anything unless they're part of a set.
For example: 10 baggy pants, no straight cut pants, and a single slim one that is thorn jeans. Not a single alternative to use with the formal shoes without looking ugly.
I just do the dailies and dress up. Wish at least hair wasn't color-locked, but no..
It isn't perfect of course, there's ways it could be better. But this mode is in it for the long haul and so am I. Hyped for the future
I logged in for one week, since then I simply haven't had the time for a second game beside Genshin.
The outfits are meh, while the Manekins look like slightly fancier NPC.
Their gameplay is okay, but just shows how much they did the traveler dirty even more...
I did it only for the dps test dummy and once they bring it to main game I will not return there
I still think the basic idea for Miliastra was good, but they enshittified it with the typical gacha retention garbage (doing dailies) and the ludicrous pricing, and the asshole move to not give you a skin for both Manekins.
The Manekins are ok for overworld, but them having almost no voice lines makes them feel dead, and I don't play them often.
With that being said, I only do the weeklies to get the pull currency. Plenty of free costume options, so that's cool, even if I don't even use them that much.
I've made my own simple game in it and while it was a fun experience, I wouldn't put too much effort into learning these tools. Having access to all Genshin assets for free is nice, but if I wanted to make games, I'd rather use a proper game engine, even a simple one, to get much more freedom.
On top of that, I think that MW should be accessible outside Genshin. It should have a separate, standalone version for those who don't play Genshin. It will be absolutely fantastic if hoyo turns MW into a proper game engine one day.
