Yeah. It also feels really bad in Star Rail, the male characters can pretty much only be DPS units because if they make a male support, then some male players get mad that their favorite wants a male character on her team. (What happened with Jiaoqiu and Sunday)
Then we got a new path, Remembrance, which has zero male characters aside from MC because they can't give a new path to just Stelle (but I think they would if they could), and we're about to get another new path that we all know will be the same way.
I'm not even strictly a husbando player, I have roughly an equal amount of male and female characters, but it definitely feels like they spit in the faces of male character enjoyers often.
(Also just for clarity, I know it's not all waifu players. There are plenty that are happy to see other fans get characters they like. It's just a very vocal minority)

Alternatively I LOVE the non-dps elements, skipped or shit on characters, and elegant characters. She checks all of my boxes. Its why I have Chiori C6. I was planning on Nuev and Varka guaranteed. But after skipping lunar entirely I did decide to grab Columbina a week into the banner because My King Navia demanded a real reaction. So now it's Nuevillette and maybe Varka. Might sour on him by the time he gets here though, he's got a lot of team restrictions.

And if he doesn't do well, it's back to ye olde "male characters don't sell" even though Flins and Durin did well, it just takes one character to sell less to undo it.
I'm going to get him at least c0r1 anyway, but I feel like they're going to make a bad conclusion either way 😔
Then we got a new path, Remembrance, which has zero male characters aside from MC because they can't give a new path to just Stelle (but I think they would if they could), and we're about to get another new path that we all know will be the same way.
I'm not even strictly a husbando player, I have roughly an equal amount of male and female characters, but it definitely feels like they spit in the faces of male character enjoyers often.
(Also just for clarity, I know it's not all waifu players. There are plenty that are happy to see other fans get characters they like. It's just a very vocal minority)
I am hoping sandrone is geo but i suspect hoyo will pull a gotcha on her.
And I need a proper DPS for Bina, until Nefer comes back to justify Lauma who I need to C1 😭😭😭

And I have capturing radiance on char banner. it's a tie between zibai, neuvi c1 and varka. It's all gonna depend on how my weapon banner goes.
We need a premium hydro DPS so badly but who knows when we will see that happen. I am NOT pulling Mualani and Childe is basically permanently benched at this point. He beat abyss 12 when Esco released but that was an eternity ago lol

Varka is distinctly masculine among the roster and Nicole is an elf like whilst also being pleasantly cheeky, she's close enough to a sale for me. Alice I'd a mother and I like her personality too she's currently my third target.
