Sadly most spend for more pulls and then complain not getting those specific characters from pulls that are on the shop. I'll soon get C6 Lisa this year finishing that shop till more options are added if ever

Because one character in starglitter shop costs around 7 pulls, since one character costs 34 starglitters. You're wasting around 42 pulls trying to C6 a character in the shop (assuming you already have one copy of the character since most of them are already given through events). Not everyone is a big spender. As a F2P myself, i'd rather bet those 42 pulls in increasing my chances to get a limited 5 star than C6ing a four star.

F2p too but some of those 4*s can completely upgrade teams. Fischl and Bennett especially. Sure some aren't worth it but guaranteeing C6 is nice instead of relying on rng. Also it would take 3 years to C6 so if your luck that bad on banners then maybe invest in shop if you haven't gotten them already

I agree that some of the 4 stars upgrade teams completely, but at the same time, plenty of limited 5 stars is also a complete upgrade to those 4 stars (Ineffa to name one is an upgrade over Fischl), with the exception of Bennett (5 years in and dude is still irreplaceable).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying buying characters in the starglitter shop is bad. But in my opinion, it should be less of the priorities. It should be reserved for scenarios like when you're already on C5. Besides, Bennett, Fischl, and Sucrose are still great even at C0.

Okay, regardless of losing those 7 pulls you could put towards pity, between using them on a banner with Bennet on it (4* in 10 pulls, 1/6 chance of Bennet, never guaranteed) or just cashing them in at the Starglitter shop, especially if you just want C0, the choice is pretty obvious. Complaining that you haven’t gotten them yet is silly when they’re right there.

There's also extreme cases where I missed Noelle and she didn't show up on any of my limited banner pulls. And I bought Xingqiu C2 only for him to show up on the banner before Columbina. smh.

I joined Genshin in late November, so I only have 48 masterless star glitter (I have never used any of it), I’m not going to spend 34 star glitter on one character when I have the chance to get them on the standard banner. If I do decide to get it in the shop, I at least want to save a bit more before buying. Besides, I’ve never gotten Bennet or Sucrose in my shop before.

Benny has ran twice since I started playing and Sucrose once. I get the “4 stars are harder to get than 5 stars” sentiment but if you really need them no reason not to pull on the banner. Plus I’m sure at least Benny is in the rotating shop. And Sucrose was a choice for the Hexenzirkel event.

The irony is that these two are some of the few characters that **don’t** require the rng of gacha to guarantee.
Both are freely obtainable. Sucrose from the Hexerei selector and Bennett from the starglitter shop twice a year.
Worried you can’t get Fischl or Razor if you choose Sucrose? Well you shouldn’t, becuase these two are also obtainable from the starglitter shop.
