The Moonlit Watcher quest is not working

I'm trying to complete the moonlit watcher quest and I'm at the point where I have to rescue Valdis, but there is nothing around for me to interact with. Is there something I'm missing like a prerequisite or is my quest broken?

Can we assume you talked with Valdis right there? You didn’t say if you tried that already.

Yeah, went through the whole cutscene as well, but he wasn't in any sort of trap when I walked up. Teleporting away and coming back he is still just standing there surrounded by nothing and I go through the cutscene again.

I can’t recall if I did this quest already but sometimes I clear flags before just from exploring. Otherwise it may either require a restart of the game or just waiting to see if it’s a bug that needs to be fixed.

It may be worth searching YouTube for someone’s walkthrough.

Either log out or make your while party die and resurrect.

Had same issue working on silverwick lantern where everything kuuvaki just didn't spawn the right way.
