1000 primogems in imaginarium theatre?
I am just new to genshin impact I am playing the game just for 8 months whenever I am free now. For the first time , I have cleared hard mode in imaginarium theatre in jan month, but I only got 640 primos. Now, I visited visionary mode it says it will only give extra 180 primogems so totally imaginarium theatre only gives 800 primos. Then why it is mentioned 1000 primos. Am I missing something? can someone explain this.

But yeah, playing since 1.0 and have 270 fragile resin does tend to show low resin spending and character enhancing.
I also play since 1.0 and didn't have issues because I usually always level up my favorite characters to 90 and farm artifacts to have good to very good build
I'd still struggle if there's a combination of elements I don't have many characters for. Something like Dendro + Hydro + Geo would be devastating, for example.
but for me it would be cryo geo dendro, (they could do another custom reaction like that cryo dendro one)
I will say though, since To Temper Thyself started, I've been playing very consistently, and I've always been a horizontal investor. Tbh i have no idea how i did it because i have enough characters leveled to participate but they are absolutely not built lmao. Legit spent twenty minutes before starting lunar mode going through keqingmains guides making sure that my characters at least had the right artifact sets/main stats where possible because most of them just had random gladiator pieces lmao.
That much progress in 6 months is crazy to me though. I'd say you're doing amazingly well for such a recent player.
It pushes enemies one direction instead of pulling them into a specific spot, but if you don’t have Anemo this gives him a weird utility in some stages.
I hate it when that happens 😭
There's been a few times where I make it to the near end, and the few characters I needed for the boss don't pop up, so I gotta restart anyway.
It was made as a response to vertical investment, which used to be the best way to make your account stronger. For power it's better to have a new character at C2 than a full team of old 5 stars. This changes the math on that since it gives a bunch of primos. It's also nice that you get to use your old characters that are terrible in other modes now.
But yeah, I don't exactly avoid elements, but I do have a relatively disproportionate amount of them. For instance, I have every Anemo except Chasca and Venti. I only have Mavuika and Arlecchino as Pyro DPS's. I pretty much only have 4 Cryos built.
I think to be perfectly honest my biggest issue is that I've avoided building anyone but the specific characters I've needed for my mains for a very long time, which massively messed me up because 80-90% of my 4 stars were unbuilt entirely.
And Lunar basically needing a third of the entire Genshin cast to be built isn't exactly great for me
This is if every edition is so perfectly aligned that you always get opening characters you don't already have, which is nearly impossible.
Without the safety blanket of opening characters, You're more likely to need at least 9-10 characters built for each element. Since Anemo, Geo, and Dendro don't feature as often, project this to only PHEC and you'll still need 4x10 + 3x7= 61 characters built to practically guarantee being able to participate in every edition. You're only 2/3 there.
To put it another way, players who typically care about endgame can start 36-star full clear abyss around 1 year into the game. I started in 1.4 and took 2 full years to do that because I insisted on horizontal investment to cover all elements. I didn't start pulling cons or weapons until Fontaine and the decision paid off when Imaginarium came around. From the very first edition until now, no matter how many times they've raised the max difficulty I've been able to full clear it. There's only about 2 maybe 3 editions where I couldn't field the max number of characters allowed.
Absent whaling, purely Welkin players shouldn't expect to do Lunar in under 2.5 years. That goes double at least for Free to Play folks.
So no, 2.5 years to be Lunar-ready at Welkin-only level is already a very optimistic estimate.
It only took me 1 month+ a few days to enter hard mode (end of july to september), took me 6 months to enter visionary (end of july to january) all without spending a dime. Only started buying welkin literally last version to guarantee bina and zibai, which afterwards i will once again stop buying welkin because i got what i wanted from it.
All i did was level up 4 stars even if they're trash. Kaeya, kaveh, candace, faruzan, barbara, etc. i have most of my 4 star roster at lvl 70. Even the ones who are horrible in the meta. That's all that i needed to do. It doesnt take much resin or resources to level 70 without talents, which is why it shouldnt take long.
You definitely did something wrong for it to take you 2.5 full years with welkin. I did fine doing it all in 6 months time+(1~2week for some elements which i didnt level up enough in, depending on the elemental combo during the current lunar mode) without buying welkin, bp or any genesis crystals. First visionary that released i entered just fine.
I found the trick is to use weaker chars in the beginning on IT stages (especially the trial ones) then focus on getting characters cards to get ahead of the curves in terms of choices. Then saving your best teams for the last few stages which is usually the toughest. Also if you have whale friends and borrow their c6 mavuika or something its a free 2 stages (even the last few hardest stages). I don't need to do this but still clear easily. Only endgame I struggle with is dire stygian which is very hard for welkin players to barely clear.
That way you can run something like Neuvillette/Furina (that are strong enough to beat a stage by themselves) with fodder characters (example, Collei and Lisa) instead of also using good supports (Lauma and Ineffa). That saves your good supports to buff maybe a dps that’s older and not as powerful or one who isn’t well built yet. Fodder characters are also so helpful for elements like Geo that people might not have a lot of characters for.
1. Horizontal investment. I have very few constellated 5\* characters, but I have lots of them. Not particularly meta ones, but most IT stages should be clearable even with non-meta C0R0 5\* as long as you have the proper teammates and IT buffs. Which leads me to
2. Resource management. This is the name of the game, IT is a resource management game mode. Think hard about which DPS character you will need for which level, which teammates you will need to make them shine, and which buffs will help you the most. Sometimes, you will have to clear stages with fodder characters alongside your good DPSes. These are the hard requirements that will force even the most experienced players to reset sometimes, because of RNG. Getting the buff that insures you always get a companion card helps a lot for this
3. Have friends with good characters. Lots of my runs have been saved thanks to long-term friends that I have that could provide a constellated character that I don't have in my roster. If you're missing certain meta chars for certain elements, this is your only way to clear the hardest stages. Check out the various IT friends threads to try and find people willing to help
The IT tests player's ability to come up with new teams according to enemies and plan ahead for later stages.
It actually is pretty easy, not much different from normal hard mode. All you have to do is hold onto your stronger units and use the weakers to combine their power for easier stages.
By the end of my run I even had at least 2 more uses of my strongest teams because I tried not to use them earlier.
to get you more good character at later act you can try
1.level some useless character to lv 70 and use it as slot filler on normal mob act or even in boss act you can try 3 or 2 good character with slot filler to save good character for later act.
2.Try to use all the weak trial character on early stage
on this IT i use all vigor of the weak yoimiya, barbara, yunjin, gaming on first 2 act (easy ruin, fatui mob) dont waste your full build character.
3.collect and save your full broken team (like nefer lauma columbina) and only use them to brute force some stage that cant be pass with random team comp (especially the 2 Lunar stage and act 10 boss).
This cycle I was using the C6 mavuika and mystery cache brought mavuika back after I used her up so I got 4 vigour out of her lmao. Ended up with my flins mostly unused
Hoyo just doesn't show genshin players they're missing out on pulls, interesting, while zzz discussion players are crying every week about endgame while missing out on very little endgame pulls and swimming in f2p pulls
if you just want primogem and not 12 star it even easier
I literally beat IT on visionary mode, on the last boss with Diluc
Also Genshin powercreep is not too bad compared with Star Rail. Zzz is fine for now.
Lunar has 10 stages + 2 stages that are optional if you complete them all, you get 1000 primos + primos for 1st try.
Dont worry about it much, as you continue playing and get more characters, it will become alot easier.
Then pull accordingly in regards of each boss stage
You can like the game and still acknowledge the gacha practices absolutely suck and are exploitative ways to build games
You get 1000 every month if you can clear the last difficulty, it has 12 stages, but 2 are bonus stages that can be fought out of order after you get far enough to unlock them.
Like they need it anyway but you need like 24+ characters to fully participate iirc. x.x
I haven't even upgraded all the 4-star characters in my box to level 70 yet; it takes a huge amount of resources and time. Do what you can, but don't try to do everything so quickly.
