The powercreep is not the problem here the whole month was literally just reruns because they had to delay 4.0, the game is completely dry with nothing to do except dailies and the month of january just had rerun banners with nothing else.

Genshin also had months has nothing to do like this too, but it's also a truth that HSR has came a shitty state, you max everything as an old player but can't do shit in game without brand new characters, nothing is fun anymore except currencywar because it's fixed set of charaters. yeah we've seen eula/klee earn 6 million this is basically the same thing except hsr didn't even have new content and they still got 8 million somehow.

I feel it's kinda doomposting since hsr still made more money over the last year than genshin. And we all know hsr had like 0 content and new characters this month + it's right before a new planet.
Doesn't feel low revenue this month will change anything or are not within expectations for devs

But they will have to hype the fuck out of 4.0 to get the people who took a break from the game to come back.
A new path simply won't cut it, especially as we know have experience with new paths and the problems they bring.

Imo the reason genshin powercreep seems so bad it mainly because of stygian. And it's not locking off primos so it's not that big of a deal. Abyss is getting more and more shill but still seems pretty doable like before. ( shill boss are the main issue tho, which can be linked to powercreep )

To be fair this patch lasts for 2 months, and the banners I think are 1 new character and reruns. (I quit a few months ago)
The power creep, the money spending events, Castorice's passive, no new 4\* character, barely any events, the main even is short, barely any audio, low quality, the atrocious collab, they forced the character story quests into the main story, Amphoreus was allegedly 53 hours, changing the Japanese region because of political issues, the alternative characters from Honkai Impact 3rd, and I heard they even reused the story for Amphoreus, the shitty fake deaths!
Edit I forgot new paths to sell light cones (weapons)
I loved Honkai Star Rail, that's why I am so angry what they did to it! I hope they will keep getting less money!
