I'm starting to wonder if this year Lantern Rite will conclude on a Rite of Parting for Mountain Shaper

In the middle of doing Act 2 of the event. And Cloud Retainer seems pretty angry right now.

I shall prepare a bouquet of fresh mint flower and mint incense for the offerings right away.

I have seen the power of mint used in this way before, albeit usually combined with the power of berries to give a tasty, satisfying crunch.

I suspect this Lantern Rite will end with Mountain Shaper returning to the planet Kokujon.

Planet Kokujon?

~~The ideal is if killing his mortal vessel lets him make a new, glammed-up one for next Lantern Rite but we know that’s never going to happen.~~

Cloud Retainer is justified in being angry with Mountain Shaper; mint is horrifically aggressive and impossible to get rid of once it's established. Rest in pieces, Mountain Shaper.

Yeah, if you ever have a neighbour you don't like, there's a reason people suggest planting mint....
