There’s alot of small things genshin can improve on compared to the amount of revenue they are getting
Like genshin makes a shit ton of money. They have more than enough money to spare and there are def things they could improve upon. They don’t have to be huge things either like a bit more movement from characters during dialogue or more of those pics that pop up from time to time instead of js saying what happened. I don’t imagine making those pics takes alot of budget so instead of a black screen telling what happened or those awkward half baked movements they do they can js show a nice picture more often. (By pics I mean shots like the nilou hugging one lmk if they are called a specific name)

Thats irrelevant if the money doesnt get siphoned back entirely into the project, which knowing how gacha games go, they will never overbudget the game
>They have more than enough money to spare
Jeff Bezos has plenty of money to spare, yet Amazon keeps relying on AI dubbing for anime hoping people dont notice. Just cause they have the money, doesnt mean they can just throw it away on mostly *irrelevant* things only a loud minority cares about and doesnt even bother feedbacking about
>and there are def things they could improve upon.
Like?
>They don’t have to be huge things either like a bit more movement from characters during dialogue or more of those pics that pop up from time to time instead of js saying what happened.
I mean, sure they can
But what good does it do if they just shoehorn pic after pic?
Next post is gonna be saying since *they have the money they may as well fully animate them* and then we go back to sqaure one, asking more and more wth no given end, just because satisfaction is a myth nowadays

I mean, surely not in terms of budget
But they take time, and time is quite literally the thing they have the least
So maybe, just maybe, something has to be cut down in order to keep time flowing properly
If "pictures" are to be cut down, to keep the game flowing as is, without excessive delays, or other content that gets cut down in its stead, then so be it
How long do you think it takes to draw one of those pictures? How much do you imagine it costs to pay someone to work for that length of time to create a picture? Maybe you don't ***imagine*** it takes a lot of budget, because you have no understanding of time and cost and how that impacts on a budget.
Every minute spent on something insignificant, is a minute not spent on something more important, again, probably something you have very little understanding of when it comes to game development.
Pictures also take up storage space, need rescaling for different resolutions (sometimes, if they are catering for a wide range of aspect-ratios), none of which is the case for the occasional black screen + white text.
Unlike your typical Redditor, these development teams know how to manage a project, they know how to allocate their available time and they know how to budget for that. Spending more money on something doesn't create more time, it just uses up more money, something businesses understand very well.
