Swirl is such a useless reaction outside of a few niches, I’d love it if they created a Lunar-Swirl. Especially because it is a real phenomenon. This would help Xiao, Scara a lot, bring Chasca a lot higher. Are they scared of making it too crazy?

How is Xiao helped? Xiao is built at this moment as anemo dmg, Lunar reactions do not care about elemental % dmg, so it would be useless

Wanderer, who needs pyro, would be more benefitted from becoming Hexerei

And Chasca relies more on triggering multiple elements that do not benefit from "Lunar", those been Pyro and Cryo

Like just cause they are "Anemo dps" doesnt mean they are gonna benefit from a Lunar reaction, without a severe kit retooling and artifacts dedicated exclusively to "Lunar Swirl"

If evn someone like Navia can be carried by the Lunar-duo (yk who im talking abt), i dont see why it wouldnt be the case for Chasca and Wanderer.

Having Lunar swirl will simply allow them to milk the hell out of the wheelchair duo and utilize it to maximum.

Yep. Dunno what the original commenter was on about. Navia who ain't a Lunar crystallise character is suddenly one of the best facilitator along with Zibai if you have Columbina. Lower damage but still a reaction nonetheless.

If Xiao suddenly uses Lunar Swirl with Columbina, who's to say that's a bad thing?

It’s not necessarily a “bad” thing, but these Anemo DPS kits and the teams supporting them don’t even benefit from normal Swirl. Navia already had Lunar-Crystalize synergy from the start since Crystallize was her bread and butter.

Like original commenter said, there needs to be some kind of kit rework or new artifact set to make this work for these characters, which is the slightest of bummers for Xiao who’s already on his third artifact BiS now.

Xiao doesnt have any portion in his passive that gives him a benefit from "Swirl" that would get updated to add LS to it, and LS would need to do a fricking ton just to replace Furina,Faruzan from his team(because Xianyun aint going anywhere)

Wanderer could get it on his element swirl passive portion. But he still would not reach the same level as others without, again, going Hexerei with how busted combo with Durin is

And Chasca, Pyro-Cryo, neither are lunar. Not sure why skip melting over lunar swirling with Hydro/Electro. At that point she aint the one doing the damage but Columbina-Ineffa lol

Probably, cuz my intention was of agreeing with u on crit based anemo carries and at the same time point out that we got way lower cost em boosting alternatives which would make hoyo not want to do that. Also op is delusional if they feel swirl is a wasted reaction. They don't know how to build comps and use reactions.

Oh, okay that makes more sense now. And I agree, as unfortunate as it is that Anemo is still locked to primarily being the VV support, what we need to fix that is something that makes Anemo DPS on its own more viable, not a new Lunar reaction that’ll only make the existing Anemo support archetype even stronger and do nothing for kits that don’t even mesh well with the regular reaction.

IIRC, hydro swirls only apply "wet" status in AoE, rather than applying damage like other swirled elements (still damages the direct swirl target though)

If lunar swirl existed then I don't see anyone benefiting except sucrose and maybe mizuki.

Existing lunar reactions barely helped old characters and most of them still prefer traditional teams, and lunar swirl wouldn't be the exception.

I could see lunar swirl being great if it has some really unique behaviors (unlike existing lunars where it's basically more damage), but it doesn't seem to fit hoyo's current vision of kit design.

Instead of Luna swirl, I would rather have something like dendro swirl to enable new team comps. Swirl still triggers Luna charged (I think) so the best team comp will just be Luna charged with nod krai anemo
