Can we have a discussion about lack of dps kit creativity recently?

Zibai is one of the biggest example of this. Oh you do normal attacks until a meter fills up to do a nuke skill? That sounds oddly similar. Then we also have flins. Oh you have two skills that allow you to use a instant special burst with low cost? Again sounds similar. I like nefer cause has a unique kit and also allows for skill expression. Tell me if you know any other examples of lazy kit designs

You are being downvoted but I agree - only Nefer so far feels different to play from existing DPS.

Flins feels like Varesa without the mobility, Zibai looks like Kinich or even Skirk but more static.

I love these designs but the kit repetition means the only Nod Krai DPS I have pulled is Nefer, the rest are all supports.

I wouldn't mind if they improved upon kits that have a cool idea but don't work that well, like how Mavuika is the perfected version of Raiden's kit. What we are getting right now is just copying already successful kits

Though I love Nefer's design and her voice/personality, I am extremely disappointed by how unfun she is to use.

I miss kits like Wriothlesly or Heizou. Flins has always been very fun to use, and Zibai might end up being fun as well. I like normal attacking until I get to nuke.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Nefer was designed with just charge attack spam though? Dash cancels were never intended. And dash cancel spamming after every atk can hardly be called skill expression, only dash cancelling after certain atks/points in combos or situations can be called that

You're complaining about main DPSes but there certainly isn't over a 100 main DPS characters in Genshin lol. Majority of those 100 are off-fielders/supports which are literally EQ bots.

What do you expect when the combat is designed with only 2 skill buttons (+ NA, CA and PA). The curse of being a mobile game is that you end up with the simplest combat design.

There's only so much they can do after 5 years

What do you want, normal attacks? Arlecchino, Yoimiya, Ayato, etc

Charged attacks? Tighnari, Hu Tao, Ganyu, Itto, Chasca, etc

Plunge? Xiao, Gaming, Varesa, etc

Big hit and a few enhanced hits? Like Mavuika or Raiden?

Charge up for a big damaging skill? Heizou, Kinich, Navia, Mualani, etc

Little bit of everything? Klee, Ningguang or Yanfei?

Alhaitham is probably the most original dps and he's just Dendro Keqing/Chiori but he points his skill up
